Dak has regressed from being average to bad to now horrible.
Of course he has.

Anyone who thought he was going to look like he did last year with the amount of players lost was kidding themselves *cough Jerry cough*. You cant trot out the RBs this team has, have one weapon at WR, and 2 rookies on the OL and expect the same results. Dont even get me started on the defensive starters this team lost.

That GB should have been the catalyst for an off-season where they moved on from Dak, or if you are going to pay him, pay him in April and bring in Henry, Bahktari, and some defensive help. Guyton was never a plug and play LT.

Not only that. Not doing anything in FA tells the players this team isnt serious about winning. It sends a terrible message to the locker room.

This stat is more of an indictment of the offensive line than the QB most of the time. The game plan called for short quick passes and worked well on the first drive.

On his one TD pass to Dowdle, FOUR offensive linemen were beat right off the snap and it took a miracle for him to complete a 2 yard pass.

Dak isn't playing well, but at least try to be fair about what is going on no one is throwing down field all game with this type of protection.

Deshaun Watson has that and always will. For what they gave up for him and with all the off field issues, it's going to be hard to beat.

But Dak could easily go down as the worst cowboys contract of all time. And on his current trajectory, he could rival deshauns bad contract, but never surpass it.
they've paid Wak Prescott twice now, the Browns won't make the mistake of giving Watson 2 deals.

You mean like Dak does several times every season to fool you stans into thinking he played well?
So he went from a bus driver with the #1 scoring offense two of the last three years with no running game to a scrub over night at 31? I am the one being unrealistic about things lol

Im not doing this with you. The book on dak has already been published. Those offenses were fool’s gold against the worst pass defenses in the league and garbage time stats.

This year there are no tomato cans on the schedule and these are the results.

Dak misses wide open receivers downfield when processing reads. Dak can’t throw a 10 yard pass accurately. Dak hurts himself when he tries to run. He’s a liability and Rush should start.
Absolutely not. Rush might salvage some of the season. I hate it for him but we need complete & utter failure. If the Godfather hadn't signed the albatross, it would be the perfect time to start Lance. Other than watching Dakoids freak out if Lance started having success, there is no point.

So, Rush & Lance need to suffer mysterious injuries during practice this week and Anger steps in for the rest of the season.

#1 scoring offense 2 of the last 3 seasons, and top 5 the other season because they played nothing but bad defenses all three of those years. Got it!

You sound totally reasonable and don't have an agenda against Dak at all. Thanks for proving my point.

So you don't think it would help us to show a competent trey?

IMO Air Yards tell you more about a QB than many other stats. I went back and manually looked at all 3 QBs in tonight’s game and looked at air yards relative to the line of scrimmage. While some screens are designed to be negative air yards, in general you want a QB that’s able to throw downfield when needed.

Kirk cousins had a net of 73 yards through the air, with everything else coming through YAC. That’s 3.7 Yards beyond the LOS per completion. Not bad bus driving.

Cooper Rush also had 73 yards on only 14 throws, and he would’ve had way more if Ceedee or Jaylen could’ve snagged their deep balls. That’s 5.2 air yards beyond LOS per completion. Well done, Coop. Way to sling it.

Dak had 22 completions, and netted a whopping 35 net air yards the whole game. He only had 8 net air yards in the whole first half! That’s 1.7 yards beyond the LOS per completion. That is objectively awful.

The question is, who do we blame this on? The Oline? The coaches for the scheme and play calling, or Dak for not seeing the field or having bad accuracy down range? Or maybe the scheme is a reflection of Daks issues.

You tell me

Dak is a Tier 3 QB (Hence his pick 4th round) who has been carried by his teammates and facing lousy quality opponents since 2 QB went down in a pre-season game for him to start in 2016.

No ONE is to Blame you got a PIG for a QB and no matter how much lipstick you put on him he will still sweat and look like a PIG!!

Until this Piggy gets axed from under center all we're doing is sacrificing more players for the Dak Cause!!!

Thanks, Hillbilly Jerry!

Yes, if you paid attention.

Go fetch his stats in those games againt the bottom tier teams like the Giants, Commanders, and even Phillys terrible pass defenses if youd like

No, it would help him but we are stuck with the other one so there isn't any point in preparing at the backup QB position.
I think it would help in trade value.

There's also a slim chance.....very slim!...you already have a viable qb on the roster. We know what rush does, remarkable! But we don't really know trey just guessing due to lack of information.

Oh, I agree it would normally be the thing to do. But even if he lit it up & won over all his detractors, they aren't sitting the guy with the contract. Even if Dak asked to be traded, how much market could he have and it doesn't really help our cap hits (as I understand it from other folks).

So, the albatross will remain & all we would have done was hurt our draft position & increased the value of a guy who won't be here.

Sure it would be fun to watch & further confuse the folks that think Dak somehow was the catalyst of this team but none of that would help the organization in the long run.

The problem is that we paid Dak like he's a HOF QB and he's not even close. Then he goes out and tries to be great and its just not in him. He throws INTs......holds the ball too long waiting to see something.......checks to plays that don't work.

I really thought Jerry was FINALLY doing the smart thing and letting Dak playout his contract. Then, a week before the season he makes the colossal mistake of signing Dak on term favorable to Dak. Now we are stuck......for years.
