Agreed. And whoever we hire as our next HC, I wonder if he will actually get to decide who he will go to battle with as his coordinators and assistants. If he does, it will be the first time since Parcells that the HC in Dallas gets to fully decide his staff.

No they are not. Tom Landry was HC/OC/DC Coordinator, Bill Walsh who was HC/OC, and Belichick who was HC/DC. Jimmy Johnson got rid of Shula, landed on Turner, and was replaced by his mentor Zampesee by Jerry Dumbo GM Jones.

The Head Coach is the most important hire by a football team. The Head Coach must be the top leadership of a football team for that team to challenge and win Super Bowls. This is why the Arlington Jonesboys cannot win to get to challenge for a Super Bowl. There is no leadership at HC with Jerry Dumbo GM Jones as Owner/GM/defacto HC.

Great point. When these head coach names are being discussed, I'm always wondering who they would bring in with them. It takes a lot of good coaches, not just one.

Can we bring back Kitna back as QB coach and Colombo as OL coach? Hope Jerry goes in and gives Saleh the same treatment he gave Quinn and get KM an experienced DC so he can focus on being the HC. I am all about Moore coming esp if they can get him a good staff .

However what makes it silly is people who hardly played the sport making on calls on who is where.

Its about the same as betting on the draft just due to the combine.

Some coaches have sold HCs and some talent have sold coaches.

The MM and BB have blazed after their HoF qbs, chefs kiss baby. Unstoppable. And Reid before Mahomes, SB city baby, just racking em up.

Think that is why they are leaning towards Kellen....You are getting a HC and an offensive coordinator.....Thinking Saleh as a defensive coordinator would make a great pairing.
