No need to defend yourself, good sir. I know your stances. This is a great post I'm replying to -- I hope others read it, rather than attack it.
I agree with everything you said about Jerry, however, I'm a bit more bullish on him and his incompetence as a GM, but that's neither here nor there.
It simply amazes me that people have such a tough time with what RKG means. It's baffling really. But keep fighting that good fight, Idgit. I would have grown tired a long, long time ago.
Edit -- I like JG right now. He's proven his mettle the past three years for my benefit of the doubt. I do think he needs to take us a bit deeper this postseason, tho. I'm confident he can.
If he doesn't, I'll worry about that then, rather than prognosticate doom and gloom beforehand.
Also, "apologist" is a trite word. The very definition of such. Pure garbage.
The whole 'RKG' thing is people just intentionally twisting it at this point. There's no other explanation.
By and large, though, we've seen the kinds of players they've chosen to invest in long-term. I don't think the fact that they've taken shots at Rolando McClain or Greg Hardy along the way is at all meaningful. Randy Gregory's a different case, because he was a 2nd round pick and he had a dependency issue. Football might have been important to him, but it was less important than the health/mental issues. It was a wasted pick as a result.
