I still can't believe we let him go.

If we would've just kept Matt Moore than we'd have no reason to draft anyone.

You don't ever never ever let a QB walk that has shown signs that he can play.

Alot of you need to get over this Matt Moore enfatuation. He isnt any good and he doesnt have a future as a starter. In fact alot of people believe Carolina will draft a QB high this yr, and alot of people thought they might have had interest in Jay Cutler too.

They thought so much of him, they wasted no time in finding an upgrade as the backup to DelHomme.

People get way to carried away with what they see from 3rd and 4th string players against each other in menaingless preseason games.

I understand we did that and I agree that we did well with those moves. The point of this guys topic was that we havent drafted but two QBs in the NFL draft since 1991. There is nothing unclear about this fact.

yes we developed Romo and Garrett as UDFA's and that is great, and no one has any issue with that. It doesn't change the fact, however, that his point was that we haven't drafted but two QBs in 17 years. This is still a fact and still the point of his topic. I don't see where he said that Romo and Garrett working out is an issue, or wrong, just that he was surprised to see that we've only drafted 2 QBs in 17 years.

Also if you're going to point out two good moves we did with guys we didn't draft you'd have to point out the glaring bad ones like Stoner, Henson, Hutchinson, Wright, etc. We've missed a lot more than we've hit on undrafted guys.

They never brought in guys like Stoerner or Wright with the idea of them ever becoming a starter in this league. Hutchinson and Henson were low risk/high reward type guys, and since you mentioned Henson, while we didnt draft him we did trade a draft pick for him before he ever played a down for Houston, so that makes 3 QB's we essentially "drafted"

Tony Romo was not drafted by any team. He was signed by us as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2004.

Well duh, thats kinda an obvious typo dont you think? Especially when my next sentence was "we signed him as a rookie free agent and developed him"

Like they said....We haven't drafted a qb since Aikman :laugh2:

Funny how that's the last QB to win a Super Bowl for us... Do the two things correlate?

oh scuse me. I don't want to start anything up in here. It's a team effort. Let me rephrase... That's the last QB that participated in an effort by 53 men determined to win the Super Bowl. Lucky guy...
