The Washington game had no meaning, really
I doubt they are livid about anything.
If you are a professional with a passion for winning the games should always mean something. You noticed that all the top seeds won their games last week, right? Did they take the week off?

Even the Giants backups played better than the Cowboys starters.

Yes, you should always put forth your best effort.
But you can't let the past control your focus on the future.

Just beat Tampa

The Cowboys have to endure 7 days of being livid about their performance, about hearing that they don't deserve to be in the playoffs, hate from ESPN, from fans, taunting, mockery.

In the weird psychology that goes with being America's team, the superstar persona creeps into their mindset. As a different thread pointed out, it is a jekyll and hyde sort of thing, they seem like they EXPECT to win at times, without effort. Well, I think last week is more of a positive than it is a negative. The Cowboys don't expect to win whatsoever, but they certainly are going to be focused on football, they have been focused all week, for that matter.

It's going to be a show of force on Monday.
Then they remember that regardless of the outcome, when the season ends they will be on a caribbean or mexican beach with the arm candy of their choice.

and telling us next year will be different. Jerry will come out and say we have improved with back to back 12 win seasons and playoff births. Anything to sell hope to the blind fans.

Bwahaha. The players didn't even want to play that game and it showed.

Players not even phased by that game.

Ever since all the players from the 90's team have been gone this team has been just like rockport, talk trash all year about how great they are and disappear after the regular season ends ....... Hopefully they can take the next step this year and actually back up the talk.

for defense ,,, let's hope they have the 50yd bomb down the right sideline figured out, that's been Brady/Evans' go-to pass in their comebacks and it just happens to be the one we can't seem to defend!
for offense ,,, we know Dak folds under the kind of pressure he's been getting, the OL simply has to do better and get a real run-game going.

These are both tall orders...
Man, you should write users manuals. Summarized that like an impatient boss!!

They should be embarrassed by that pitiful display Sunday

Hopefully the team plays pissed off on Monday night. It’s going to be an extremely long offseason if they lay another egg.

Sadly, outside of a couple of guys this team seldom seems livid about anything...rinse, repeat...

And if they win, get home early Tuesday morning and we're already behind the 8 ball for the next one.

The last time this team answered the bell after the opponent embarrassing them is, never

They’re a bunch of front runners

Let's get something straight, nothing and I mean nothing motivates this club! More times than not all we hear is how prepared they are and how focus they're going to be going into a game and then they lay an egg! So, I don't believe too much of the crap that comes out of the Dallas headquarters' office. This club is loaded with gutless, heartless players who are here to correct a check. The only thing nasty about this club is the smell that reeks off their practice fields!
