The Cowboys Micah Parsons trade is settled

While I agree Micah is hard to replace we fared no better with or worse without in terms of getting it done in defense when it counts

The whole situation was a disaster and it’s quite possible Micah may never be the same. And to be real his presence did put either us or GB at the top of the heap

Packers were 9-3-1 when he went down. And didn’t win another game finishing 9-8-1.

Cowboys losing Parsons and Lawrence totally lost our pass rush and disruption at LOS which totally exposed our secondary propelling one of worst defenses in Cowboys history negating what was one of the best offenses in league.

I’d call both of those major impacts to the results of the team.

Who is that guy with the terrible assessments? Micah was a talent in college with a top 10-15 projection, but he had to prove it among NFL talent. Give the draft picks a chance. Too early for buyer’s remorse.

They were going to lose the game he got hurt in right on schedule. A contender late in the year. He didn't affect bo nix at all that game. He didnt get hurt in the first quarter. He was on the field while bo was cooking

They also didn't play starters in the season finale. This is the disingenuous stuff I was talking about. Leaving out context to prop that soft frontrunner up. Saying 5 games is a flat out lie.

We sucked against the run both with him and without him.
I’d also add the ebursuck factor. I really believe lack of LB talent has more to do with our lack of success than losing or having Micah

Micah is a one trick pony and I hope he recovers and is 80% of what was. I root for the player.
I can live without the dramafied social media headache he became

Just glad the Micah drama and crappy attitude is gone. When I saw him laying on that gurney on the sideline during the preseason game I knew that prima-donna attitude belonged somewhere else. He's a cancer !

Has Quinnen been in the playoffs? Crosby, Watt, and Garrett have similar stats in the playoffs as Micah. I guess they suck too.

This is arguing nonsense just to do so.

Dallas had 1 of those guys and couldn't win a playoff game with him.
They had to decide to either pay him 200M or trade him.

The fact CLE keeps paying Garrett top of scale and winning nothing is proof positve of why you DO NOT DO THAT.

No one said Micah sucks. He is a legit Hall of Fame candidate if he gets and stays healthy. But he also has done zero to indicate he can carry a defense in the playoffs. And you had 4 shots with him on cheap deals to build elite around him and could not do it.

Dallas draft failures is a big part of why he had to be traded.

Anyone holding onto these really weirdly bad takes at this point is just doing so because they refuse to be wrong in the face of overwhelming evidence.

GB traded for Micah to be the final piece of a SB team. Dallas was never close to that with him. The trade made sense for both sides then and continues to.

Like he did here he had games he dominated then games where he was neutralized and games where he was out injured.
Would have been interesting to watch him play in the playoffs on a fairly complete GB defense.
