Actually Redmond was good enough in camp and the preseason for the Cowboys to keep him as a tenth lineman last year.

If he impresses again next summer he could carry trade value. I remember reading the Bills were not pleased when Dallas signed him off their practice squad a couple years ago.

The signing of an ERFA tells you next to nothing about the rest of the team. It's basically a free player. Unless we decided we hated him since last year, we were going to resign him to an ERFA contract.

If Looney will come back at current rates, I expect they sign him. Cheap veteran insurance. Looney leaves if someone offers more elsewhere.

Redmond is probably the worst guy we've had playing in the last couple of years, but that's ok. He's injury insurance and costs nothing.

Woods is our *starter* at LDT. He and Crawford are the only DTs of any proven quality that we have the rights to. He's getting signed. If he were RFA, we'd be tendering him. The team was 6-4 with him, 2-4 without him. He made a positive difference when he was on the field.
