I’m just saying we could go 10-7 and still win more than one playoff game, which would be accomplishing more than last year.
If we accomplish more in the playoffs than last season then it’s a step forward, regardless of our regular season record. We need to string together playoff wins.

This team sucks in the fans every year, its our year again and we all fall for it again and again each year.
Crazy but you're right. You see it almost every season. I can see it in 07 and maybe 14 and 16. But it's usually every year.

Kicker and RB worries me.
And there’s always the injury possibility. We’ve never overcome injuries that well but I was impressed losing Dak last year and still surviving
How much money does Robbie Gold want?

Strengthen our kicking game, while weakening the Whiners. This alone could put us a notch above the Whiners!

they will run the ball they will pass the ball , and they will have a top 3 defense. This is our year. Lets go I have a really good feeling about this season ,lets hear it.
If one portion of the team can be dominant it will have to be the defense. I don't see any dominance from the offense. They may look super against the weaker teams and not so much against the better ones. Special teams will probably be questionable especially since the kicker is still unknown. We can only hope the offense and ST don't suck enough to derail in the playoffs. Because that's where the concern is, it is in the playoffs not the regular season. That has been where this team has imploded. Maybe i should go get me a pair of rose colored glasses to give you a more pie in the sky take, but i prefer seeing clearly. We can all be optimistic right now though, so i understand you.

It's been a weird offseason. I was forced to recognize that Dak is not a special QB and that he has to play within himself and not turn the ball over (Ala 2016) in order for the Cowboys to win. At the same I've ever seen the defense this stacked while McCarthy is switching up the offense in a way that directly addresses my concerns from last reason.
If Dak can just drive the bus and make a couple of big plays per game and the team stays healthy, this could be a Super Bowl year. But if that doesn't happen, it will be because of injuries or because Dak just isn't good enough. We'll find out!
Lol…..already blaming Dak Prescott for future failure's that havent even happened. that pretty much sums up the level of football knowledge on this forum.

I can see us being an overall better team in terms of talent and playoff potential— but with a worse regular season record.

The NFCE is no joke and every team has gotten better. Our schedule overall is filled with tough games.

Our offensive philosophy will be to (rightly IMO) run the ball and control TOP, so that will likely result in more close games and fewer blowouts— and fewer self-inflicted mistakes (in theory).

Put it all together, and I see a 10-7 or 11-6 season, and if we are healthy and peak at the right time— we could be a very dangerous team in Jan.
