Moore is young, creative, and super smart. He is an offensive minded coach- arguably what you want in today's NFL. His offense in 2021 was first in the NFL in points AND first in the NFL in yards. Multiple teams are interviewing him for head coaching vacancies. The league professionals think very highly of him, even if the fans on this internet forum do not.

Maybe his skillset doesn't translate to the head coaching position. That's a very real possibility.

When he's hired I expect a "Floaty, we're sorry" thread.

I'm counting on your decency here.

That's the good thing if he's hired and does well I'll apologize AND if he sucks I get to roast Floaty, some more.

The Cowboys would be getting Jason Garrett 2.0.

What did Moore prove with the Eagles?

You can run the ball when you have the best RB in the league combined with a mobile quarterback?

You can throw the ball when you have two WR1's?

It's more fun for an OC when three out of five O-linemen are Pro Bowlers, and the team also has the #1 overall defense?

This Eagles team has a dominant offense with the added blessing of limited injuries. I wonder how Moore would have fared with a 2nd team QB, an injured Barkley, two O-linemen on injured reserve, and a 30th ranked defense.

Take away Barkley and his offense is offensive. Their passing game is ranked among the lowest.

This is a pretty good read about Moore.

The Cowboys Will Get 'Moore' Offensive
Story by Cody Warren, Inside The Star 1/17/2025

The Dallas Cowboys could get more offensive after the team moved on from Head Coach Mike McCarthy after the front office and coach could not agree on the team’s future. In the aftermath of the move, the media has been predicting several coaches who could take over the job. Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Bill Belichick, and others are hovering in the universe.

The Cowboys have contacted Deion Sanders, Robert Saleh, Leslie Frazier, and Kellen Moore for the top spot on the coaching staff. Of the names who have been contacted, the favorite is Kellen Moore.

Kellen Moore, Really

Several Dallas Cowboys fans who remember him as offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022 share this sentiment.

Here’s the thing about Kellen Moore: He is a Jerry Jones guy, and the comfort level with this potential hire is very high.

Not only is Jerry Jones comfortable with Moore, but so are Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Much more:https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ot...S&cvid=79e2d11a10bd4116b61ba0dfec07db40&ei=21
you know that's an opinion right people are making that up 'cause they're looking at the list and picking Kellen more as what they feel Jerry thinks is his favorite but that's not true I think there's gonna be few names that might be a dark horse that could just happen like Pete Carroll Jerry could not like the interviews not what he's hearing and he'll combine Pete with whatever defensive coordinator Pete wants but probably somebody off that list that they are gonna have in for interviews for head coach same if Deion Sanders ended up here probably some of those guys might end up being the DC I'm sure they're gonna touch on that during the interviews it won't just be about the head coaching position...

Y'all react to this stuff as if Jerry came out or somebody at the star released some secret that Kellen Moore is the favorite nobody has said that from there

Been saying Kellen's hire isn't as bad as some think. He will def get the offense back on track but he needs strong coordinators for leadership and it doesn't hurt we are stealing him from the Eagles. Force them to get Hurts another OC and from what I hear Vrabel is going hard after AJ.
Back on track to do what? To get dominated in the postseason. Awful. Awful hire if it happens. Stealing him from Philly hahahah. Their fans hate him. Their pass attack is crap. Hurts has gotten worse under him. It’s an embarrassing take from you

But the same can be said about Ben Johnson how do you know dude's never been a head coach he's not gonna get the same players here everyone seems to have him as a top of everyone's target like he's the new superstar in the league yet he hasn't done a single thing to say he's gonna be able to do it elsewhere you talk about a loaded team the lions are absolutely overloaded and he's getting tutored by Dan Campbell so how do you know when he leaves Dan Campbell leaves the rest of the coaching staff behind leaves all the players behind that he's gonna do a single thing here it's the same argument whenever you promote a coordinator that's never been a head coach you have no idea what he's gonna do that would be higher risk to hire that guy in my opinion coming here where we'r....and free agency to fill so yeah I don't see that big a difference between moore and Johnson..

JB....I'll put it this way. I agree he isn't the strongest candidate but he's not as bad as you think. He's not my 1st or 2nd choice but I would certainly take him over a few other candidates. One day you will thank me for this ..........LOL
