This may be true or it may be false, but even after all of this, .. if Crayton doesn't quit on his route, with 16 seconds left, down 4, in the 4th quarter, of the divisional playoff game, we win.

We win and Romo is a hero !

But why Crayton would ever slow down, in that situation, I will never understand.

I think he would've dropped it anyways.

and if they take care of business, when they could have, it would never have come down to this.

That's the problem. A fluke bounce of the ball. A strange thing happening on a play. Ya gotta take care of business and close out the other team when the opportunity presents itself so that the next day we're not saying "Ya know, if Crayton doesn't quit..."

Just one guy's opinion. :D

Oh, I hear ya.

But stuff happens good and bad throughout every game that could have changed the outcome.

We look back and want to change this or that.

I'm just saying, that after all of that, the good and the bad, it still came down to us having an opportunity to win the game, despite all of our shortcomings in the game.

But instead, a 3rd WR takes a play off because he doesn't think he is getting the ball. "Why should I run full speed, it's not coming to me?"

Guess what, it did.

Guess what, it did.

Which is exactly why the game can't be left in the hands of a guy like Crayton.

The star players need to step up on those critical drives and make plays.

This is exactly my point.

If they put the Giants away when tehy had the chance, they wouldnt have had to rely on a 3rd WR making a play at the end of the game.

Yeah, he has gotten good at dropping passes and his mouth! What an asinine idiot he has turned out to be.

I hate it when players talk and cannot back it up. And then on top of it, refuse to face the music, for the check their mouth wrote, that bounced.

I see your point, I agree.

But if all of that doesn't happen, which it doesn't sometimes, I still would like to win the game.

We still could have.

Don't forget Bigg's penalty! That stupid 15 yard personal foul on Strahan. That wiped out a first down near midfield and backed the cowboys up deep into their own end and made it 2nd and 18. Crayton drops the ball, we punt, special teams decides to not tackle. Game over. Stupid penaltyBy Bigg!

Yep. I agree.

There was so many poor plays in this game...but the problem is, we let them stay in the game.

Just an awful day.

It wasn't a stupid penalty, it was a bad call. When Bigg initiated the block, Romo still had the ball, and Strahan was trying to get to his feet. The block was in no way illegal.

You'd think that an officiating crew that allowed Pierce to get away with attacking a sliding Romo with his helmet would have let that one go.

Good point, well said.

I also felt that even though the Giants were putting pressure on Romo and getting to him, a couple of times they let them hit him well after he had released the ball.

I thought the same thing...on one play Strahan even raised his hands to the official sorta saying "Please don't throw the flag" but he had that "hand caught in the cookie jar" look

Hands down, the biggest "single" play in the game was Crayton's dropped pass on 3rd down. He had the first down if he just caught the ball and fell to the turf. However, had he made the catch he could've ran a long, long way with the ball. We would have probably been at least in field goal position and maybe went on to score another TD. But, the fact that he dropped the ball made us punt. A good punt return by the Giants (actually very poor coverage by our special teams) was followed by a 36 yard game winning TD drive by the Giants. We made many, many mistakes in this game, but the drop by Crayton was the single biggest blunder of them all.

Am I the only one who remembers on NYG FIRST drive that bogus 3rd and 6 offside call on Ware? Gave them 3rd and inches and then an easy 1st down. That would have been a punt on their first drive and would have changed the game from the beginning. The league really has to do something about calling Ware offsiudes when he is not. He is just THAT fast off the line.

After those two "critical points" of the game, we were leading 17-14, and we forced a punt on the Giants' next possession.

Game over?

Is that the posession that we had a pass to Whitten completed at the 40, and Leonard Davis got called for a penalty that I have never ever seen before, and would bet that I would never see again?? Instead of 1st and 10 at the 40 it is some down on our own 10?
