The Custom Choppers Thread

I feel a lot better now. It only took 6 years to find this out :
Did you see the bike that a Billy Lane and a few guys from Indian Larry's shop built as a memorial to him? It's very cool.
I remember a bike that Indian Larry's right hand guy Paul Cox built, but I don't remember Billy Lane doing one.

Is Paul Cox the guy who does the leather seats? If so, Billy was in on that build.

I'm more of a Cafe Racer guy, personally.

Here are some nice ones, hope you don't mind:
It took me a while to remember the guy's name. Roger Goldammer may be the best custom bike builder ever. He has been voted best by other builders 3 times. No one else even twice as far as I know. This is one of his.

I think Jesse closed his shop last year.

He did a bike for Smith and Wesson that I loved. Wish there was a better pic of it. Yeah, it does have flames.

That's pretty sweet. It would have been better if it was silver and blue. :D

Damn, even from that bad camera position that bike owns.

My favorite one is a custom build that Orange County Choppers did for West Point. [strike]Unfortunately I have no pictures, but[/strike] it was your basic black lowriding chopper that had military swords that were sheathed in the forks. It also had lots and lots of chrome, and was really loud. It was awesome.

Edit - man I love Google. This is the only picture I could find. It's not elaborate, but I love it for obvious reasons.

I don't care much for themed bikes. I mean they can look cool, but still carry a cheese factor with them.

Personally, just give me a straight up kick *** bike to look at. No gimmicks.

Everytime I watched Orange County Choppers, they were always making themed bikes. (granted I only saw maybe 10 episodes)

This bike from their site is is cool. ...appears to be a themed bike too though.

Roger was featured on the very first episode of Biker Build Off against Billy Lane. Billy won, but Roger builds some awesome bikes.

Was that the bike that Lane hid the exhaust under the seat? He had to pull over and duct tape the bottom of the seat because his arse was burning up. :laugh2:

I love Indian Larry's stuff. Clean and simple is my kind of bike.

I am pretty sure that was against Russell Mitchell. Hilarious episode.

I am pleased others liked Indian Larry's stuff.

That one reminds me of another Phoenix builder Jesse Rooke. He is not for everyone but his designs are amazing.

I found a better view of the Jesse James Smith & Wesson chopper.
