Did anyone see the video of his kicks as he practiced before the game? You would have thought the wind was 90 MPH, it was shockingly bad.

If that's the way he's looked in practices this year, then I can't believe they suited him up.

Didn't Elam used to be an amazing kicker? What happened to him? Yips also? I say just work out kickers week to week and the one that kicks the best during the week, he suits up. Simple as that. There has to be someone who can kick a 24 yarder reliably. Jeepsus...

Good question. Mike Vanderjagt couldn't make a field goal after he signed with us, and he was the most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL up until that point. Makes you appreciate Morton Anderson, Jason Elam and Adam Vinatieri and any other kicker who goes through a 20 year career of consistency.

Anyway, even though Wade said he was looking at options last week, I doubt he was. He was just paying lip service to keep the media off his back. He didn't even know Elam was on the market when pressed about it on his press conference. You can't cut one of your 53 family members. Folk may have just reached the tipping point tonight where Wade might think about giving him a stern talking to.

Yes, because that would be purely luck. It's still a bad kick. If he had split the uprights, I'd keep him.
