Umm..yeah Dak won the game until the defense didn't.....

"Dak won the game" - He didn't though. He actually gave the lead back to the Packers at one point when we could have went up by what, 9 points?

We are a top 5 team in talent IMO. NFL games come down to matchups and/or 3-5 plays. We are sucking in that 3-5 play department.

It goes to our coaching. Garrett's time for learning in the job is over. He should be making those 3-5 plays be going our way more often than not by now. He's still making poor decisions as well as our players are not performing in those moments.

Last week, muffed kick, this week T Williams. Have to send a message Garrett. Stop clapping and bench some people!!!

no way is this team top 5 in talent.

It has exceptional talent at about 5 positions. but overall talent? no way.
I have no issue with Dak scoring on that play, you see the end zone, you go in.

My issue is, I think we could have ran it with Elliott and got a first. Then we could have pulled that out of our pocket a few plays later. It was poorly managed, and I blame that on the coaching staff.

this is reasonably fair point. however, it is on the HC to discuss situational football in the critical moments with your 2nd Yr QB. On second down, Dak should have been told this is a run no matter what and we will also run the clock down to 5 seconds or less before snapping the football.

This isn't rocket science and our Princeton educated HC still doesn't get it.

Hey Bark- I agree with you too and understand your point.... hear this from me first- these times are growing pains! Our defense will be stout by mid season!!!! As a team we have not put things together but we will.
I'm in complete agreement with you on that. I felt like the start of the year would be bumpy.
You don't replace that many veteran players with youngsters and not experience growing pains. I expect us to be formidable by years end.
If we can just sneak into the playoffs

Huh? They had the lead with over a minute left...

You mean when we had 15 points on them? How about when we had the lead and make it a two score game, just to have an inaccurate pass go for 6?

He brought us back, after helping putting us down. Sorry, he was part of the problem, even if you think he was close to the bottom.

I actually praised Dak in the first two quarters, I thought he was going to go on to have a monster game. I then pointed out i needed to temper my excitement because he doesn't seem play for 4 quarters....

I got criticized, yet, how did it turn out?

We scored on like 2-4 drives in the second half including the GO AHEAD DRIVE... there weren't that many. Football is rarely perfectly symmetrical where you score 20 points each half and perfectly balanced quarters. There are ebs and flows. You can't fault the go ahead score and 31 points.

We scored on the "final drive" after giving the Packers back the lead.

Tell me, how would the ball game have looked if we drove the ball down the field and scored instead of getting that pick 6?

I am never one to give praise to Dak easily, and he had not looked like last year so far this season.

Today he played great and played a lot like last year. His pocket precense was excellent today and his passing was crisp. He had a great game today. It is a shame that he did not get the win for it

Romo feels his pain I am sure.

It would have been genius.
I know this a completely unorthodox approach but just think how different the narrative would have been had he pulled this off drained the clock and punched it in with little to no time on the clock.
Dak would be hailed as one of the headiest players in the league.
Coaches should have at least considered the option and maybe they did.
It's all speculation now so I'm on to the bye and hopefully we can get Lee back and start to improve on defense.

This is moronic...did you watch the game or just read a box score? It was a ball that you or I could have caught.

Dak's got to improve his downfield accuracy, but he did more than enough to win today. The issue is the sieve that is our defense.
