I have to give props to Dak though. He's been nothing short of shaky thus far, but he was magical today. Evading pressure and making good throw after good throw. He looked calmed and prepared.

And the offensive line finally gave zeke some running lanes. So there are some positive signs.

THEN, there's the defense. Let's just go out and play with Tank, Irving, Lee, and Lewis. Awuzie and Woods, jury is still out. Besides them, this defense is atrocious.

We are not a top 5 team talent wise. Don’t kid yourself. The defense isn’t even in the top half of the league in talent. They may be bottom 10.
I disagree. How many teams can claim a top 2 unit in all of football? We have all pros all over the place.

Defense has talent, but it's young. We knew that coming in. It's a bet that they'll get to where they need to be in year 3. Brown seems to be having a bad year though.

Yea. I don't know if it's ever been done or not. It would have worked here in this game though
You don't know that.

Had we gotten stuffed at the 1 yard line or turned it over, we'd all be screaming at the decision to not score when we had the chance. Hindsight's 20-20.

That's the point. Raise your hand if you felt like we were stopping Rodgers in that situation.
I'd rather went with our strength. They weren't stopping us from scoring there. That defense for the packers was toast
Hmm- that's your point, but you are missing the point! The point is for the offense to score points and the defense is to prevent the opposing team from scoring points. If the defense can't do that then fix it or suffer the consequences... I'd never tell my offense to take a knee at the 1... so many other things can happen...

I know Lewis gave up the TD but did you see his reaction on the sideline? At least the kid has a pulse and he played FINE until one of the best decided to pick on him. I am not worried about that kid! It's all the other JAGs that are a worry.

That short play was a silly call. Too many bad things can happen when a team is inside its ten and the call is a 3 yard route. Gives the defense too many advantages. No QB is accurate on every throw.

Matt James

A fake and a deep ball would've been better.

Maybe they called because Dak has struggled on the longer slants, but that little 3 yard route in that part of the field was asking for disaster

Just think if Jimmy would've asked for a 3 yard route out in San Francisco! Either ball out or go home broke

If you ask me: Dak is Tony circa 2011-13, and Daks team might not be as good. He's the entire team. If he's average(in the first as that's all you'll give him credit for), this game isn't close

Agreed. He has been plagued by some inaccurate floaters throughout the start of this season. About 5 a game, with some coming at key times. Today, even most of his incompletions were good throws -- such as Dez's dropped TD, the INT that bounced off Terrance Williams' han -- err, chest.

His ability to evade the pass rush in the first half was magnificent.

You are definitely correct. If we get stuffed and don't score it would be mutiny. Kinda similar to what we are seeing now

Dak Prescott was just awesome today. Yeah, I know we lost but we are still lucky to have number 4. He's doing everything he can to put us in a position to win the game.

Sophomore slump? Eat it

It’s his thing. He will ALWAYS find a way to blame Dak. The ball hit Williams in the worst possible place - his hands. Looking at the play again, the LB was closing in from Williams’ right side. If he throws to his front shoulder, it’s possibly a pick by the LB. Williams needs to make that catch.

Dak could have five TDs in a game and no INT's. And we lose in a blow out and they would blame Dak for not getting six TDs.

He was awesome in the first half. Less so in the 2nd half, though not terrible. The coaching, however...

I agree that's not a logical football maneuver. Just a complete lack of faith in our defense in that situation.
It's all over now so it's on to the bye for me

It was not high but was about 6 inches more towards the sideline than preferred.

I could understand if Williams dropped it, but it fell straight down, but letting it go through his hands was on him.

Any ball that hits a receivers hands should be caught and is not the QB's fault. This ball had a bit of extra gas on it but was entirely catchable. This one is all on TWill.

A really really good player. Does he still have some learning to do? Of course, no different than any other second year QB. But he is VERY, VERY far ahead of the curve. We're really in a great position at QB going forward.

Defense on the other hand....

Unless your name is Romo and you throw 5 tds in a game and still lose. Then it's not the defenses fault

The chickens have come home to roost and not a minute too late

Since you want to blame Dak for that one INT, then by the same logic Romo is to blame for the Denver game where he played great but threw a pick late in fourth quarter.

Exactly right. I'll never get mad at a guy like that. He plays with fire and passion and he made play after play today. As for the other guys in the secondary? They can kick rocks
