The defense continues to be awesome without Parsons

Without Parsons and a better dline we still have issues stopping the run. Give me Parson's pass rushing ability. Nobody on our defense really scare a defensive coordinator but probably Quinnen Williams.
 
Last time I checked, Parsons was on the defense against Green Bay in the playoffs. And last time I checked, he had one single sack and no real impact in any of his playoff games here. He's the Dak of the defense. Piles up stats against lesser teams, fizzles out against the good ones.

It's not like the defense suddenly collapsed once he left. Was always issues with this defense even when he was here.

What players even perform in big games here?
 
I understand our defense still had issues with Parsons especially stopping the run but we had a threat of a pass rush.

And first 2 seasons with Parsons we made the playoffs with a 5th and 12th ranked defense. 3rd season defense slumped and was awful in playoffs but at least we were a playoff team.

And his 4th season once Dak went down , season over . Last year with a healthy Dak and top offense we would have likely at least been closer to a playoff team with him.

So, until further notice , we haven’t recovered. Not yet anyway. We better hurry and get it together with all of this talent we acquired or 0-3, etc will be too much to overcome .

Pretty much none, hence our CCG game drought. I mean, the last time I thought we played very well in a divisional round game was 2016, Dak went toe to toe with Rodgers as a rookie. That was 11 seasons ago, though.

And as of now with the Packers, he's MIA when they need him the most.
 
And our issues may go deeper. The fact we have no discipline illustrated by Williams taunting when we were being dominated still down a TD compounds the potential issues and culture .

Shotty might be a good OC but his HC skills are still in question. And our new DC got schooled in his first NFL debut. Might have looked even worst than last year if that’s possible . A lot of work to do.

First 3 seasons with Parsons the cowboys had a top 10 scoring defense.

Year 4 the entire defense was bad but it wasn’t because of Parsons.

No disagreement from me. Just odd no one seems to play well in the playoffs except for GB his rookie year and Tampa Bay.

Now we have several more speed bumps and no pass rush which exposes a secondary that used to lead the league in turnovers when he was here. But you are correct, he wasn't good against the run.

None of those defensive tackles are difference makers. They're good players but not difference makers and that it would be a physical game.

Said Harbaugh will have the game because he will have his team more physically prepared than Schotty would.

Baldy knows the trenches.
 
Talent alone should make some difference. The team played like the Browns practice squad. If something doesn’t change, they will set a new low for team defense. The Giants used simple plays to confuse the defense. Dart killed them with plays that have been plaguing Dallas, no matter what year, or personnel on team. They also have been continually burned by RB passes out of the backfield. Years of seeing the same game plan against this team.
