What did you see as the good in the game with the Defense and what was the bad.

I for one am disappointed in the job that Marinelli is doing.

Not a clutch defense but kept us in the game most of the night.

Offensive gameplan was too cowardly to overcome.

Two weeks in a row where the defensive line is gassed. It would be hard for any team to overcome this lack of depth. Get Hardy, Gregory and McClain back and its a different story, the guys that are in there the majority of snaps right now would be in only as a fresh rotation.

I am the biggest Sean Lee fan there is, but we have to start looking for his long term replacement. He can't stay on the field and his non-presence season in and season out has taken a toll on this defense. :(

Barry Church is a backup. Patmon not much better. We need to rebuild the back end of this secondary. I am hoping that McClain, Hardy and Gregory can help cover over some of the secondary's deficiencies when they return.

fell short all game long.

dropped interceptions right at them. gave up easy tackles that led to 3rd down conversions . gave up leads time and time again. couldn't stop a dink and dunk noodle armed qb, and couldn't even take advantage of missed field goal second chance in OT.

this loss is totally on the defense. injuries play a huge reason, but the defense is putrid.

Claiborne = nice job once again.

Wilcox and Church = no playmaking ability.

Carr = average.

Hitchens looked good.

The 1st round rookie made some plays.

Sean Lee = American Girl doll; both are pretty to look at but extremely fragile.

Still not consistent.
Still lack of a pass rush, or disappears too often, especially when really needed.
No game changing plays
Too many penalties, and stupid penalties.
Still too many wide open receivers.
Poor tackling
Get too tired to quickly
Lee going out durin the games, 2 weeks in a row now.
Not one player having a standout year yet, only a few plays here and there.

Only flashes of good, then back to the bad.
Wilson showing up as well as Hitchins making plays too. But need others to step up.

Way more bad than good

Defense got more pressure early on. Again our blitz worked out great and we went away from it to only rush 4 again.

Carr went through the running lane sliding like he was avoiding a double play ball going into second base.

Despite the last play Wilson did ok and he shouldn't have ran all the way to Hitchens to catch the play call.

Lee took an ugly shot and I hope he's back next week. That was an ugly hit.

The one who surprised me the most was Irving. I know he didn't get alot of snaps but he earned more for next week.

Lawrence also had a good game getting a sack.

Overall, they were on the field too long and Brees took advantage of it. Tough loss and now its ob to NE who is on their bye.

Lawrence finally looked good.

Hitch came back.

Irving looks like a player. Very excited to see him more. He is huge!

The NFL officiating for DB's is horrific, can't do anything and draw a penalty now.

Lee is still made of glass.

The hurry up kills this D.

Well I guess they weren't as bad as last week until the last minute of the game and in OT. There, I said something positive.

Sean Lee is talented but not worthy of trust. The China doll strikes again.

I have a feeling that Lee may end up like Dat Nguyen and just decide to retire after this season. He may be worried about future quality of life with these neck injuries and now concussion.
I wouldn't blame him.
