The defense was terrible thread

Horrible tackling, specially McClain and Church. We where in position to get stops and just whiffed

Defense put us in position in the first half, to put up at least 17+ points. Guess what? We blew every opportunity.

As I said, the offense was terrible. Defense matched them.

Can we all finally admit Church is nothing more than a try-hard guy?

They struggled at times but if you can't win putting up over 17 points than you know what? You're going to be winless.

Seems like we can only play starting QB's because when we get a back up we just get him paid and sent somewhere else to start. Pathetic.

Defense isn't good but they held them to 17 points AND gave the million dollar offense a chance to win the game...twice!

Never have liked Church. Good guy, below average football player, consistently. Him and JJ are BIG problems back there.

It wasn't great but if your defense only gives up 17 points in regulation, you should win the game if your offense is supposed to be elite.

The defense was fine.

OK, I don't have a problem with what you say in any other thread. However, you are stubbornly sticking to this tired rhetoric - when you know it's not true. The defense could not stop or get off the field. It was piss pour and you know it ! Offense was not great, but the defense sucked *** tonight - no way around it.

Bad tackling tonight. Hate to see that

Wilcox impressed me for the first time. Though if keeps tackling with his head, it's gonna come back to bite us. He goes for the big play and rarely wraps up.

relax people, there are gonna be valleys. we knew we wouldn't win out. a division game isn't always a lock. lets focus on arizona now. hopefully tony is okay, or it won't matter anyway

It's like they panic so quickly when the 2nd and 2 run was right there for the taking. Just stick to your winning formula, Murray.

Thank you, just wish the coaches would have seen this , can only guess where there head was.

Don't you think your QB heading to the locker room for a couple of drive would slow down the "eliteness"?

Jerry should be on the phone with anyone and everyone who has a pass rusher for trade. I know DLaw is on his way back, but a single guy isn't going to transform us into a team who can consistently get pressure.

The Jags have supposedly been shopping Chris Clemons. That would be a start ..

The only thing bad about the defense other than tackling were the two fumbles by Murray and Randle. That hurt the D.

Look we aren't world beaters on defense. But we created a turnover and held them to 17 points when our offense couldn't do anything and our starting QB went out of the game injured for much of the night. And then held for a field goal in overtime.

What more do you expect?

it was frustrating to watch at times, but ultimately they came through twice when it mattered most, and the offense did nothing

17 points in the game, 3 in the first half should be good enough to win at home against a 2-5 team all day
