Are you playing up your ignorance to miss the point? How can any offense be called elite while using their back up QB? Do you want me to take out my box of crayons and draw you a picture to break it down? I cant make this any easier for you...

What did Weedon do on that first drive?

Only if you can do it like JBell does in the MSPaint threads - Romo Plz. :) Needed a little brevity in light of the depressed mood I am in.

When your backup scores 10 points out of possible 14 points, you can't blame the backup QB for the offense not being elite. Especially when your starting QB only scored 7 points rest of the game.

It sounds like even a crayon drawing will help you understand this.

Do you even know 10 points is more than 7 points?

Listen you simple man, Weeden did nothing on that first drive except hand off the ball for a fifty yard run, Crediting him for those three point is like all those gold stars you got for reading comprehension. Now continue with you elite with a back up that scored one TD nonsense, its cute/tragic.

The defense has improved from last season, but not nearly as much as people on this board like to think. Our numbers are even still even pretty close to what they were at this point last year. The main difference is the major improvement in our running game. Our offense staying on the field makes our D look much better. We have been better defensively at getting off the field on third down this season, but still not nearly where it needs to be for this team to be a serious Super Bowl contender, unfortunately.

I'm a huge Barry Church critic but he isn't the problem. It's the Cowboys insistence on playing two strong safety types. Church is a strong safety slash nickel linebacker. Wilcox is a strong safety. Jeff Heath is, well Jeff Heath is pure garbage.

Anyway, our biggest weaknesses were exposed tonight; lack of a pass rush and deep coverage. Throw in some missed tackles and you have long, time consuming drives that leave you less chances to score.

I still think they'd be wise to try to add a pass rusher and/or a free safety tomorrow. This team is still in a good position to win this year but you have to use any opportunity you have to improve. I'm a draft guy but a 2015 5th round pick does nothing to help us right now. A free safety does.

So answer me this Einstein. Why did we only score 7 points when Romo was in there?

Defense allowed 17 points in regulation yet you want to blame them instead of the offense because Romo went out for 2 possession. Two possessions where we scored 10 points out of 17.

Yeh, that makes sense. You are a smart man.

Jeeze you really have a Romo axe to grind, are you related to Weeden?

The two fumbles by Randal and Murray slowed him down in the first half and the back injury in the second. I'm sure you will ignore all that because simple is as simple does.

Again I'm not blaming the defense, I'm pointing out your snide childish dig at the "elite" offense was ill thought out and uninformed. If I could go back in time I would erase my comment because holding you hand and walking you through this is a calorie burner I didnt need.

Weeden the saviour.

The top 5 top defenses in the league gives up an average around 20 points a game. We gave up 20. That is plenty enough to have won on offense. We need to figure out the max blitz. If we do that, then maybe we can go places this year. If we can't, it's gonna be a tough ending to our season.

Do you know how to read? My post had nothing to do with Romo vs Weeden. How many times I have to say this? Why do you keep trying to make it into Romo vs Weeden? Did Weeden bully you for your lunch money? I'm a big Romo fan.

My point was offense had more to do with this loss than the defense. Can you read and understand that simple idea?

Yeah obviously I did, do, and responded in kind. You had a dig at the offense calling them out for not being elite and I pointed out that its hard for them to perform at an elite level when their QB leaves the pitch injured. I could teach simians this quicker than you.

You want to use Romo as an excuse for the offense. If so, why did this elite offense only scored 7 points when Romo was in the game? I'm still waiting Einstein.

17 points in regulation in today's NFL? Romo was god awful

Letting a 3rd string complete 25 of 30 and being on the field 21 of the 30 minutes of the 2nd half is also god awful. Tackling was similar to that you see at a random high school game on a Friday night. They completed 3rd down after 3rd down. They let Colt almost walk into the endzone on 3rd and goal from the 7. He also scrambled for about 8 and made someone look silly earlier.

It was an all around bad effort in every aspect tonight. All 3 phases plus coaching.

We actually gave the Skins life tonight. They have now won 2 straight. They did this in 2012 with RG3. Reeled off a bunch of wins and won the East. Don't think they do that again but still.

We saw what getting away from controlling the TOP battle does to this team overall when we get away from the run game. The D played par for their course, they just spent more time on the field.

I put this one on the offense. The defense wasn't perfect, but held them to 20 points.

You realize the only reason it was only 20 was because of the long drives they put together right? They shortened the game. You can't just look at the stats or points allowed and let that tell the story. They played poor. Some of those missed tackles were horrendous. So many 3rd downs converted, too.

Agreed. D was playing Max effort like always but they can't win games without help from the offense. Without Cowboys dominating TOP like the past 6 games, D was overmatched and too tired. Durante loss was also huge in second half, he was a demon against both the run and pass. Durant, not McClain was DMVP first half of season.

i will say one thing , we only gave up 17 points through regulation. Thats with two costly turnovers and bad field position. Yes the defense missed tackles but they only gave up 17 points.
