Meh. I think Goodell is doing a hell of a job since he's been commissioner. Just because you don't agree completely with the punishments doesn't mean he isn't at least getting things going in the right direction.

Say what you will about Wade Wilson, but he did break the rules. He didn't make a smart decision and he was punished for it. Say what you will about the Patriots, but they broke the rules and were punished for it. Losing a 1st rounder is huge. I don't care how much talent you have. That 1st round pick could be the next star of their defense or offense. You have no way of knowing.

Are these punishments exactly the ones I would have given out were I commissioner? Probably not, but to say that somehow he's bias in some way or that it's "unfair"? I don't agree.

I like Goodell. A lot in fact. No nonsense.

He went completely wussy on this penalty for the Patriots and in my mind it is out of line with the message he has preached. Completely.

Wade Wilson was fined 1/3 of his salary and suspended 5 games for something that has no bearing on the integrity of the game.

Bill Belicheat was fined 1/10 of his salary and no suspension despite the fact what he did does have a bearing on the integrity of the game.

It simply doesn't add up to me at all. A star coach got treated differently than a non star. Sends a bad message IMO.

I felt it was unfair, because some are in the envy area and i have to admit i didn't want them to win 3 in 4 but i can live with it. Guess what catagory you fall under
