We now have S's!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, you could see the effect that having legit NFL S's had yesterday. Glaring.

The inside presence of Diggy also started showing up. Absolutely love the kid. Thing is, Diggy is a great complementary player. He's the guy that collapses pockets. Now we just need quality around him.

That darned D is giving me some hope. It's been nice to see. Even Jaylon isn't annoying me as much as he usually does but let's be honest, he still annoys me.

Hard to tell at this point. Injuries to too many key players. I do like the idea of Parsons at DE for a while.

Jaylon's little schtick would be considered loveable if he'd recovered from that injury. He'd be a complete beast.

I think it's more of the celebrating that occurs when he's not doing anything or anyone else hasn't. Guy trips over a blade of grass or misses a catchable ball and there's Jaylon acting like he was the sole contributor to the play. There's too much of Emmitt in me: Just hand the ball off to the ref and go to sidelines. Emmitt was so good that he didn't need to remind anyone. Jaylon is constantly over compensating.

The man has got to be frustrated after having his extreme athleticism waylaid by injury. Same thing happened to me when I was trying to continue playing softball at 40.

Defense better get better though.
I know it is only 2 games. But they are ranked 27 to 31 is most top categories. Yards, Points and yards per play given up.
However they are 9th in rushing yards given up. But when you are an offense and can get the same yards passing, you go that route.

I do expect them to improve though. None us thought, or should have thought we would start out any other way. But to improve as the season went along.
I said in the off season, they do not need to finish a top 12 defenses, but just be playing like it come playoff push time and beyond.

We get our injured guys back, these numbers will improve as they gel as a team also.

I do like the change in style and attitude. It shows on the field like night and day.

You mean the Emmitt that ripped his helmet off after every TD and saved every one of his TD balls? That Emmitt?

I don't know if we've seen enough to suggest the D is "different". We've seen Herbert light them up for 300+ yards and we've seen Brady do it. I believe Jalen is good but he doesn't have the accuracy they have. So if this continues....this may just be what the defense is. Bend but don't break. Back to the Maranelli days.....and I'm not upset about it if they can keep getting turnovers. That's where Maranelli's defense lacked.
