The Eagles pushed for a Parsons trade over the summer

I'll say it. If Philly was offering more and Jerry turned it down or Jerry didn't go back to Philly after GB made their offer............... he was stupid.
I agree. I've never understood they don't trade within your division thought process. If you believe you're getting the better end of the deal why not weaken your closest competition?

He was afraid of MP becoming Saquon part II
But who cares? The goal in trading Parsons is to get the most that can help your franchise. Philly is already better than we are so what does adding Parsons do for that dynamic? Not much.

I mean GB is still in the conference so they could still be a problem in the regular season and in the postseason.

The only rational justification for not trading him to Philly would be the belief that they are going to be so good over the next 2-3 years that the picks they would give up would be near the bottom of every round. But if the rationale was he just didn't want to see him play for Philly because they are in the same division, that's the kind of stupid logic I expect from a guy who has led this franchise to one of the worst postseason runs in NFL history.

No way Jerry would have traded him to Philly or Washington after they both played in the NFC Championship game and Philly won the SB.

I wonder if the Ravens made a call. The pick/picks would have been very low 1st rounders, but he would have been out of the NFC.

I would have to see what they offered. I'm guessing Howie was trying to fleece Jerry.

For the right compensation, I wouldn't worry about the division implications.

Jerry certainly didn't get the best deal. Philly always gets what they want. This was a rush negotitiona because Dallas were left unprepared. Again, this decision should have been made months ago either way. I guarantee Philly would have gotten that young linebacker, two firsts, and at least one second and third day pick. Jerry sucks at negotitions.

BTW, can you imagine Philly with Parsons at end. That would have been scary.

@MountaineerCowboy are you an eagles fan?
If I was an Eagles fans I’d have been permanently benched a long time ago.

Could you imagine how much trash I would talk if my favorite team had been to 3 Super Bowls, winning 2 of them, in the past 10 years?

I’d be way more unbearable than I am now if I was an Eagles fan.
