The Eagles want us badly - Have us circled on their calendar

I was watching NFL Total Access last night and they showed a camera-clip from the Eagles locker room just after their win against the Giants. One of their defensive assistant coaches gave them a "you guys did a great job, and you control your own destiny for the division title" speech, and soon after, many defensive players huddled and put their raised hands together; and then one of them said "On Three". Then they all broke hands downwards cheering "1-2-3 COWBOYS!".

I mean, here they are just beating the Giants, a division rival, and already the Eagles have Dallas on their minds. And this wasn't just some rah-rah hype; these guys looked very serious and focused. They're circling this Dallas game on their calendar, so this Dallas team better come prepared to punch this over-achieving and overrated Eagles team in the mouth, because if Dallas takes them lightly and plays flat then they can be trapped into a loss, much like Carolina and the Giants were. Dallas is by far the better team, and it’s time they put the gloves on and not give this game away like they did the last time they played the Eagles!!!

I hope our team has the same focus. We owe them one after that debacle in Philly earlier this year.

Make no doubts, our team better come prepared to play.

Who really cares. I don't know why people get so excited over the Eagles and some emotion they are showing towards the Cowboys. They should be showing some emotion. They certainly know it's going to be a barn burner. I also think they feel they can come into our house like the Saints did and just take over.

Im here to tell you.

That will not happen. I got faith in this team being up for any challenge ole Reid and his birds can throw at them.

Parcells will have this team ready. Focused. You can keep that rah-rah BS in the locker-room for all I care. That is just camera fodder anyways.

I want results. That clapping and chanting and holding hands together is a far cry from an actual win.

Go Cowboys.

Generally this is a more effective tactic at the START of a season. Just makes you look senile on a date less than a week away!

It's the biggest game of the year for both teams. Two games left, division and playoffs on the line, what more can you ask for? I'm sure the Boys have the Iggles circled, too.

Hey...let's hear it for the NFL schedule makers...

Three road games in a row vs NFC East rivals for the Eagles.

At their house
Their Super Bowl
Us with Bledsoe
Us with mistake after mistake

We came one play from tying it except Bledsoe played like a rookie.

Now

Our house
Our division title
Them without their QB

It's our time to tatoo them.

This is the biggest game of the year for both teams against a hated rival with plenty of side stories to boot.

That means both team's names are circled, highlighted, magic markered, gold starred, notarized, coned off, and stamped with a surgeon general's warning on the other's schedule.

I'd be stoked if I were them too. A chance to come in and basically steal the division when everyone left them for dead. No McNabb, 3 straight divisional road games, yada yada. Shock the world. And even if they lose.. well, nice try... made a run at it.

In our case.. win and clinch the division.. thats nice but we've been in the drivers seat as of late anyway.

Should we lose though there'll be no "nice try" about it. The talk will be another December swoon losing 2 out of 3 to give the division away.

I expect to see a hard hitting game in and a playoff atmosphere type of game. I have no doubt the Eagles will come in ready to play and I expect Dallas to match that intensity. Like any other Cowboy fan I would love to see Dallas just blow the eagles away but I see this game going down to the last few min.

The good news is none of us are playing in this game, because I am hearing a lot of the same overconfident talk I heard before the Saints came to town with a beat up WR corp and a few banged up Defensive players. And that was a big game too, at the time it was played, to possibly position ourselves for the #2 seed.

How many big games against Division opponents (at the GIANTS AND REDNECKS LAST YEAR) has this team had where we were outplayed and it has looked like we were outcoached, over the last few years? Granted we have won some big games as of late, but don't make the mistake of thinking we will walk away with this game easily.

you mean like it was in the NO game?

i wish we were on the road this week actually, but the egales "wanting us badly" will have no effect on the field.

when it's over, barring many fluke plays/turnovers Dallas should have another win.

It's the Eagles - probably the most hated franchise we play now. The Commanders just arent doing the hate like the Eagles are.

Texas Stadium will be loud. For true.

That's done every week for every Cowboy game here. You learn to tune it out after awhile.

Some get themselves fired up that way ... so I have no problem with it.

But there are plenty ... myself included ... who prefer to do their strutting after the game.
