The Eberflus factor

Do not underestimate the fact that Indy's defensive coordinator has intimate knowledge of our offense and personnel, as our former LB coach. It's a primary reason that a putrid Detroit team, with Matt Patricia as head coach, beat his former team, New England, this year.
Naaa! I've been in plenty of games where we coached against former staff, doesn't make a difference.

And Payton didn't/doesn't?! Tell me, how many points did his high explosive offense put up against Dallas?! Lets be even more realistic, Dallas beat the Super Bowl Champs Chumps twice in four weeks.

You can't honestly think our 'Boys are worried about the Colts & their so called "intimate knowledge". :muttley:

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Indy game...I think we will squeak out a very close win when it's all said and done though. If we do it allows us to rest some key players and get everybody healthy for the playoffs. I'd be careful though and still try and keep the pedal to the metal and win out so we head into the playoffs with a lot of confidence.

As much as I thought Eberflus was going to be a possible DC, our defense is clearly much better now. I don't think his impact will be all that big.

The guy I'm worried about is Frank Reich. With the Eagles' decline this year and Andrew Luck going nuts, it kind of suggests who the real offensive mastermind was in Philly last year.

I honestly didn't want him promoted in the 1st place.
I couldn't ever tell why people kept praising him. I never saw anything he did that made the D tangibly better.

I know he kind of ran the D when Rex full-on lazy. Well those D's stunk. I know the talent level was sub-par, but he was here when the D was historically bad.

I'd take Richard over him 3 times a day every day.

its not the same defense. LVE, faster, better Jaylon, Randy Gregory, Jones at corner.....much better players than last year. slightly different scheme in the back 7.

Will be interesting to see a Hyped up Eberflus who was the second coming of Belichick fairs this weekend against our O

Dallas has a very balanced attack. Indy has a scary passing attack and not that much of a running game. Both can play very respectable defense with the C'boys being somewhat better and able to contain the best passing attacks on a good day. We've witnessed that happening more than once lately. We must contain both Luck and TY Hilton to do so. Let's hope this version of the Cowboys assumes a newfound aura on the road.

I'm willing to guesstimate that the game ends with Dallas on top by a score of something like Dallas 24, Indy 17. Both teams aren't anything to take for granted and are very capable of doing things to surprise the other with their considerable talents. The Dallas Cowboys have been such a surprise of late, that they might even surprise themselves! Granted, it's tough winning against home teams but good things do happen to very good teams. :)

Yes, I am worried about this. The familiarity helps. Nobody knows better than him how bad this QB is. He will scheme accordingly.

Feels like a loss to me.
