RKG is a myth. I doubt even Garrett has an actual definition for it other than the ever tiring "comes to work every day and works hard to get better" cliche.

He probably heard RKG used by another successful coach and starting using it as his own buzzword for so long, he eventually started applying it to every guy the Cowboys drafted or signed as if it made them special or worthy in some way.

We fans have been trying to define RKG for years, but there has been no pattern to it except the one that includes the Cowboys not winning any Super Bowls or going deep in the playoffs with RKG players.

i don’t think we’ve been trying to define it

most of us know very well that it is a meaningless cliche used by Garrett to herd his blind faithful sheep and we have used it to make fun of him and his ‘process ‘ and his blind faithful for years

Generally the effects are team peaks in October. Once in a blue moon January.

As a result of 10 years of Garrett's football philosophy, many Cowboys fans now think that:
  • Our Oline is supposed to pancake defenders on every play.
  • Kick and punt returns in the NFL don't happen anymore.
  • The only way to score a td is to drive 87 yards for it.
  • What's an INT and why do I care?
  • If the defensive lineman doesn't have 20 sacks then he is trash.
  • A scheme is knowing when to throw or run on first down.
  • Execution > coaching

What am I missing?
The win on Thanksgiving 1994 killed the franchise...
