Not at all. It works for them. But if Seattle does what got them there, they win and New Enhland loses.

But when has the Cowboys' success come? Dorsett, Smith, Murray, or Jones/Barber/Jones?

Just because thats the way we did it before does not mean it would never work.

But it does support my position. Some may prefer a committee, while I support a bellcow with a supporting cast.

Joseph Randle.

Off-field issues aside, what do we really have in Randle? He was impressive as a backup. Talented runner, versatile and able to contribute on all 3 downs. It's interesting to see how he has nearly been removed from all fans' projections next season, but ultimately what do the Cowboys have in mind? That answer will determine what happens in the draft. Obviously no one should expect 1200+ yards from Randle or probably close to that, but does this staff think he can give them a productive 120-150 carries over a full season?

The scary thing is this may be what the Jones' sincerely believe too, that Randle is just as good as Murray. Jerry called for fewer carries for Murray and more workload for Randle as early as the 3rd game last season. And Jerry repeated this stance throughout the year. Only Garrett and Linehan were steadfast in keeping Murray as the workhorse. Perhaps Jerry knows better than our coaches.

Yeah, couldn't even write that last part with a straight face.

Clearly I'm in the minority here, but I LOVE Joseph Randle off-field issues aside of course. Of course we've only seen small doses but I like what I saw when he filled in 2013/14 when Murray was hurt. I like his burst and bounce and I think he could be a 15-20 carry back easily. More likely a rotation guy given what we're looking to do.

That's the million dollar question...

If he gets scooped up early, will we be able to find Murray's replacement at the end of the 2nd or even 3rd rounds?

I hear this class is rich with RB's.

I'm all for having the clear-cut #1 RB who gets the majority of the carries but the 24.5 attempts/game that Murray had last season was way too much. Keep the new RB to 16-18 carries a game like what Lynch, Frank Gore, Ray Rice, etc. would get

I'm probably not the one to ask on that as I'm a bit spoiled on the subject. For me, there's Todd Gurley ... And then everyone else.

Ha. Fair enough. Well, let's hope Gurley falls and we scoop him up.
