The end of Dak Prescott happened last night

Dak is as inconsistent as most every other QB in the league. The QB play across the league is atrocious. The pass friendly rule changes have made it so only the teams with elite QBs have any chance of playing for a SB and that leaves almost every team, including ours, very little chance to make it to a conference championship.

I was one of his biggest supporters here. Guy has fallen apart over the past 1.25 seasons. He has lost a lot of athleticism. Can’t scramble at all. Looks really stiff too. Add to that that his confidence is shot and you have a cooked QB. There is no way they can extend him. Frankly I don’t care what he does the rest of the season. His skills are rapidly deteriorating and NO ONE will try to sign him.

Honestly, and I still like Dak, I think that leg injury a few seasons ago may really have done him in. He's not as mobile as he once was, and his play wasn't good. There were a lot of times where the receivers were blanketed, but there appeared to be some openings, and missing Cooks down the sideline and the third interception were howlers. And, with his contract the way it is, the time has come to find the next QB of the Dallas Cowboys. He can't be extended unless he really turns it around and does impressive things like get to an NFCC. Until then, we need to find another QB.

Nah, like Zeke, his play went downhill after he got paid.

That was it. It's over. Dak Prescott will be gone in 2024. October 10th, 2023, was the day Dak's career in Dallas died.

Three just horrible performances in a row against the 49ers. Regressing rapidly. He looked 45 years old last night. His eyes were bigger than the 49ers side of the scoreboard. Last night looked like every big game against a legitimately good team for Dak.

Every. Single. One.

Dak's most ardent supporters have abandoned him today locally. Bob Sturm even said that thoughts of extension talks must stop immediately. This has to end. Let him play out the string this year, but unless he does a full 360 in these games, let him go.

CeeDee is done with him. His body language said so. Saw that from Amari in the end, too. Parsons played half-hearted. The whole team saw what we saw. Passes fluttering around like butterflies in the wind. No trips to the red zone. Happy feet. No confidence. Absolutely zero confidence in himself.

The coaches and players have no confidence in him either. McCarthy dumbed it down as far as he could go for Dak. It ain't working. The Farve and Rodgers plays were left back in Wisconsin because those are pipe dreams.

That's it. This team will likely fall into the back end of the playoffs and go out like a candle in a tornado.

The team needs a full makeover, but the first move is to move on from Dak.

Finally. Thankfully.

If the Clampetts can’t see that, I don’t know how much clearer it was. Not like we lost on a last second FG.

I think paying him wasn't a bad idea for the first go around. We needed him as a stop gap while fixing the defence. Now, especially after last night, he can't be extended. He just can't. That was an absolute howler last night, and with his contract where it is and the QB Draft class, I think it's time for someone new to be drafted in the offseason. It hurts me to say it, but it's the reality of the situation.

I will believe it when I see it. If Dak serves up another stinker and is not benched for Rush or Lance, we will see that Jerry is not giving up on him.

Stephen, the village idiot, stated Dak will be a Cowboy for many years to come. Just a ridiculous statement and a likely outcome.

They are stubborn. It took them 10 years to get rid of Garrett. Most of us knew it after 2 or 3 years.

Everything is subject to change before the co.tract is signed. They can say whatever they want. Giving the good old "vote of confidence" is a regular practice in the NFL and is usually just to try and take pressure off to see how the player or coach will perform without feeling like they're on the hot seat...next thing you know Wade Phillips is in Houston and Jason Garrett is the HC for the next decade.

I agree about the poor QB play, but are you saying Purdy is elite? He's not.

You still like Dak? Do you like the fact that My Aunt Mabel can read a defense better than him?

If that game truly sealed Dak’s tenure here, then i couldnt be more ecstatic
Yeah, if the Cowboys win the next two games, they will be favored. All will be well at the Star. Dallas actually has the soft spot in the schedule coming up if you take away the Eagles game. The stretch before Thanksgiving will probably seal Dak’s fate one way or the other.

Never listen to comments like that. Organizations always do that no matter what. We all know what the "vote of confidence" really means.

They'd done with him, too.
