Yeah.. I knew when they started overhyping the retirement of Tiki that he would have a big game

Then the TO is the Devil stuff... um.. slightly unprofessional

And when will they stop having stupid mid-game interviews with people... I'm trying to watch the friggin' game.

Just watch Aikman and Joe Buck and copy that.. that's all. I don't have a need for all this fluff because they have 25 TV timeouts.

Remarkably irritating coverage, on so many levels.

It would be easier to name what they got right:

1. Their video quaility was generally pretty good. Camera angles were decent.

That's about all I'm coming up with.

Throw in strippers in a hot tub in one of the end zones, and you would think that you that it was an XFL game.

I agree completely. I cannot stand those three idiots. They have to be the worst broadcast team in history.

now since we have all figured out what is wrong with the Cowboys, like they suck, let us turn our attention to the ESPN TV broadcast in general.

First off, I turned my TV to watch the Cowboys/Giants "Football" game. Here is what I got, and chime in if I missed something:

1. Don't care about musical performances by ANYBODY. I'm there to watch "Football". It took them 15 minutes past the 7:30 start time to start the damn game. Had to watch Hank, since the marketing geniouses thought we are feebleminded and needed to be entertained. No I don't.

2. I got the message that Tikki is retiring after the first mention. I don't need to see his interview IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME WHILE IT IS FRIGGIN PLAYING!!!! Good muther of god ESPN!!!! And did anyone count how many sideline shots we got of him, WHILE THE GAME WAS STILL BEING PLAYED???

3. I don't care about the retired Emmitt's Dancing career, during, again, a FOOTBALL GAME!!!!

4. why do they continue to bring Hank into the booth, "during a friggin Footbal game?

5. Troy and Rayfield got one minute and one question, and ESPN had to rush away from them, to get that T.O., Bledsoe, and Tikki sideline shot for the 40th time. All this while the damn game is going. GAWD!!!!!!!!

6. Hey Announcers, Emmitt got the rushing record in Dallas, Stupid.

I'm done, got to go back to work, but man that whole presentation had to have been produced by Opra's female producer. Get the BALLS back into a TV Football production, PLEASE!!!!

there is so much more. Oh, quit promoting all your ESPN and ABC shows during the middle of the game, while there is play on the field.

[/vent]

I was so nervous and they kept talking this crap.....I though I was going to die before they would shut the he77 up! Great post.

Very unprofessional. I didn't know there were injuries on the field due to the crappy ESPN coverage. They pulled away from the play to interview Hank WIlliams Jr, then for Emmit Smith's promotion of Dancing With the Stars, Jerry Jones, all this nonsense.

Even though I am a Giants fan, they really, really overplayed their "interview" with Tiki. It wasn't even an interview, just replayed the same question being asked all over again. They probably had to scramble at the last minute when they lost their T.O. films.

ESPN should be ashamed of themselves. Where were the replays of the game? Dancing with the Stars? I'm surprised they had the time to show a football game.

I hate it as much as the next guy, but it's not surprising to me. MNF ratings were already low due to Cable TV and Reality TV... Now they move to ESPN, off of the networks, and it's going to drop even farther. They have to try to make up for it.

They have to draw in the train wreck/ show me drama, blood, and sex crowd who aren't fans of the two teams playing. They couldn't care less about the fans of the teams playing. Those fans are going to watch no matter what you put on the air.

I honestly believe that the "Entertainment Tonight" hosts could do a better job than the three monkeys that are in the ESPN booth now; at least the Entertainment Tonight show admits that its all about entertainment, hype and glitter. Joe, Kornheiser and Tirico are not even adequate, and make a mockery of Monday Night Football. No wonder their ratings are plummeting.

I actually muted a good majority of the second half because of all the interviews and all the bad, really bad, jokes by Kornholer. The guy is absolutely terrible. Worse than Dennis Miller. That's saying something.

The whole devil thing got old really quick.

Kornheiser is no doubt the worst commentator that I have ever heard.
He makes Theisman look like a Hall of fame commentator .

I dislike Thiesman but at least if he has talent around him he can kind of blend in but Kornheiser sounds like a child that just wants to get the attention all the time .

If he has nothing of substance to say(usually dosen't ) Then he just whines and whines and I thought the Dennis whoever was a mistake.

Kornholio should be fired today!!!! Calling TO the devil is ridiculous. I get it..you don't like him, move on. I bet they don't discuss that on PTI today.
It was so obvious that ESPN wants to hype the TO-Parcells relationship and make it a negative.....give me a break.

I started a thread earlier saying basically the exact same things. I've watched football since I can remember and I have never felt so disconnected to the game on the field as that last broadcast. They barely let us see the plays and God forbid we get to see an instant replay instead of hear Emmitt talk about some lamea** tv show on another network.
I was furious because an entire game was being played and I had to watch Hank, Emmitt, Troy, Rayfield, Tiki, and the 9 commentators/sideline reporters. There were a lot of times I was wondering WTH was going on on the field cuz I sure couldn't see or hear anything about it.
Bar none the absolute worst broadcast of a football game in the history of broadcasting football.

I agree guys. It was bad enough to lose to the Giants, but then to be forced to listen to those TO-hating, pantie-sniffing, butt-pirates. Lets just say it was a difficult evening.
