The Evolution of a great team

#1…. We are not an upstart team, and they have had winning records except for the years the QB has been injured. And that goes back to the Romo days, except when Garrett blew the win and in years.

#2. Has been the last few years. As well some other non QB injured years.

#3. Yes ready to make a move, but need to be better than #2.

#4 & #5. Waiting to happen.

Where the Cowboys stand going into this season.........I say #3

:thumbup:Many here seem to be demanding 5 and immediately before there is a riot at the on going trial right now.

This season 4 while stubbing the toes of Philadelphia. :starspin:

Beat the Dogs and lay it on heavy to pad those stats and choke against real teams in the playoffs.
Cowboys!!!!! :banghead:

#6 Disappear in big games team. Feast on low level competition in route to an early playoff exit.
Unfortunately, this has been this current teams M.O.

the most frustrating thing for most fans has been their inconsistency…….last season was like two different teams from week to week. Thank God that some of their off games were against crappy teams

Ready to make to Dallas means trading a late round pick for an over the hill DT or trading a first for a WR.

I wouldn’t exactly say we “feast” on low level competition. We lost to a bad Packers and Washington team last season. Jacksonville was 5-8 when they overcame a 17 point deficit against us. In 2021 we got our butts kicked by a bad Denver team at home. The Cowboys have had their share of problems against some bad teams and some very average QBs.

We SHOULD be number 4. Think about it. Rodgers is gone. Brady is gone. What other NFC quarterback should give us trouble or, more accurately, give our defense trouble?
With a better defense, we should walk to the playoffs.
What's going to stop us, possibly, is Dak and coaching.
We'll see.
But we should be prime to get at least to the NFC Championship Game.

They need a #6. Schizophrenic team. Capable of beating anyone. Capable of losing to anyone. (Not just "on any given sunday" but legitimately will lose to a bottom 5 team once or twice every year)
