he said 2014 and 2015.

common sense says we don't outperform the most productive season ever seen in Dallas.

But I was talking 2015-2016 season so mine is what counts and his does not so there..take that with a

Only thing that worries me is his speed..Demarco murray ran a 4.38 compared to Ezekiel's 4.47

Murray didn't play at that speed. He played more like a 4.7 guy. He was caught from behind many times and he would look for a defender to tackle him on long runs. I even watched him fall down on a long run because he was tired.

Sydla has been firmly against the drafting of Zeke, so....your not going to change his mind.

Lol. Yeah I stop my self from diving into the same debate over and over again. There are always those who naturally look at things a bit more pessimistic than others in hopes of tempering their expectations. However, whether or not someone cares for any of the picks we need to find some kind of positive in all this because the season is about to start and we are way better off going into this season with a healthy Dez, Scandrick, and especially Romo than how we ended it last season. There is a light.

Hell, rookie Murray was slower than EE is right now. DeMarco simply never was very fast in Dallas. He never looked fast and he never broke off the long runs that fast guys do.

I agree about Murray and speed but he broke off at ton of big gains and was always caught from behind or get tired and run towards a defender. Zeke turns those into TDs

What Zeke has is one tool that Emmitt had.
Great Peripheral vision. He sees the defenders coming towards him without direct eye contact.

I dont know about all that yet. I have to see it in the NFL first. Emmitt is a god with his balance and vision.

I understand the infatuation that many people want the best value and finding that gem of a 4th round-udfa because we have those picks and want to hit on them also. However, playing madden and real life is different. It isn't all about the stats and 40/yards/vertical/SS/etc. If that was so, that quick & fast like a cat of a RB with a high sparq score we picked up from Seattle would have been able to come in right away and not only compete for a starting position but start right away solely on his athletic ability.

Let's leave out his red flags, that he's dumb as a rock, and cares about only himself, abandons the play, etc. (Reminds me of Randle also).

Now I'm not saying every 4th round picks are like that (Murray, MBIII). However, what we get from Zeke is a top 5 ranked player in his draft class, that checks everything physical you want in a RB, as well as the checkboxes that go beyond the football field.

I think bringing up Gurley is extremely relevant since he was the 1st running back taken in last years draft...comparing both of these guys highlights there is no doubt in who comes away looking like 1st rounder.

I thought Gurlley was better too, until I saw a side by side comparison of the qualities that it takes to make a great RB. It was a huge article I read in FB from one of the sports media outlets. Zeke actually has more of the qualities than Gurley and it is not even close. Zeke has much better vision and cutting ability. Gurley in more of a straight ahead RB that is an injury risk dye to his style of running. The season is only a few months away. We will know who is the better RB soon enough .

Murray isn't 4.38 on the football field

Time will tell how football fast Zeke is in the nfl

not to mention murray ran that 4.38 a long time ago. in 2011 when he took that 91 yard delayed draw to the house vs the rams I think was the fastest he ever ran. If you put that up against the big run against the skins in 14 when weeden came in he looks like he lost a step from that first year.

Zeke comes in Day 1 with that speed. Hopefully.

After watching more and more of his highlights, I think he will be the greatest running back in cowboys history.

Excellent vision he has a sneaky way of running he's able to avoid contact by making himself small.

I've been saying that Elliot's best asset is his vision.

Whether people want to admit it or not, and I'm aware he had a good run here, his vision was just mediocre. Felix Jones had no vision at all, and that ended his career well before his physical skills diminished.
