No. You are off by a ton.Dallas only has an estimated 10-20M to spend on FA players.

Current roster doesn't have enough depth for someone like Clowney to be a progress stopper. In your scenario of them drafting someone early that's actually more justification to keep someone like Clowney. Let Clowney eat up the physical early downs and then let the young high upside rookie use that speed on obvious pass downs while he works himself into more snaps as the season goes on.Clowney dosent play special teams and if we draft someone then hes just gonna be a progress stopper.
Correct. Clowney only plays about 30 snaps a game + there's two DE spots so there's no way Clowney is a progress stopper. He's like you said a reliable veteran presence at a position that really doesn't have much actual proven talent.No. He's going to play, but he's not going to play every down. We need a rotation. Clowney is an early-down player. We need to bring in a pass rusher to pair with him. Whoever else we bring in can't play every down and right now, all we have is Eze and Houston, who likely will form a rotation as well. Check that, we also have Liufau as an OLB but is anyone expecting much there?
Don’t mind him. He does that every year lolNo. You are off by a ton.
AbsolutelyI have never understood the philosophy of giving a “project” player who needs “time to develop” four full years to develop….then after they do not develop, say, “let’s re-sign this guy”.
To me this is exactly the kind of thinking that has given us the last 30 years.
His track record is easy to read. It never changes. That's ok. We all know better.Don’t mind him. He does that every year lol
As reserve and budget friendly deal. The 3 years for $9M sounds reasonable to avoid creating another hole to fill.
