Time to start running over some bears...Oh, I meant actual bears. They've taken over Northern Jersey, it's insane how many there are...but yeah, on the field too.
A few years ago we did a bike trip out west. All around the Rockies, Yellowstone, etc.....

Saw one bear on the entire trip. In a dumpster in the parking lot of a bar in NW Jersey. The deer were crazy thick in that area too.

If you look at the tape from last game, Gallup was the WR who was open the most. So all this talk about how we need a new WR because Gallup didn't score points for the fantasy football nerds last week is silly.

We've got enough WRs, especially if James Washington is coming back, or Fehoko, and if the rumor about Kevante Turpin getting more opportunities is true.

Turpin was wide open for a td on his lone route last weekend.... but who cares ifv the qb doesn't look at them.

As dak gets his feet back under him he will start hitting those open guys more. The rust will be less this week and by the time we hit green Bay I'm expecting this to be a 300 plus yard a game high 20s scoring offense for the backhalf...and that means gallop is going to be heavily involved.

I agree with you.

The Cowboys offense is just getting started, in part because of the offense taking a while to live up to its full potential.

It's coming, though. I don't think it's too far away around the corner.

If Malik Davis or Qadree Ollison can pick up the pass blocking, I think we'll see that we need a back who can hit the holes harder.

One of these young backs could give us a boost. That said, I think Zeke's toughness is understated, but guys like Davis and Ollison bring a level of that with them as rookies.

That is called the 'proof is in the pudding' and 'actions speak louder than words' approach and is not stupid but actually a valid approach, aka the testing phase of the scientific method.

:lmao: Claiming science in your analysis in what is obviously an emotion based hypothesis. Science demands controls and setting up an experiment and not revisionism based on anecdotes.

He will still hit an open guy. On several plays, there was more than one. It's just that Gallup was more open, if you look closely.

the last few games the wr did not win their matchups on a consistent basis….go watch the all 22. Against Philly their corners torched us and really dominated this core.

your post has some truth in it……IF James Washington comes back, IF they use Turpin, IF fehoko becomes something. It’s all hoping and wishing. James Washington barely had a training camp with this team and never has been in the offense. Turpin is very small and we have to be careful how much he’s used (that’s if you actually believe they’ll implement him)

the wr group needs helps based on actual game tape not fantasy football. It’s not DOA but not looking good. The team is relying too much on hope and wishes and best case scenarios.

The issue is you have to go short somewhere. I think they've done a great job there. They've got Lamb, Gallup, and Brown, who are three solid starters. Sure, maybe they add another guy. But they also have James Washington coming back, and I believe he will come back.

It's pretty obvious that Fehoko is making strides. What he needs is to be a little tougher out there and decide to be tough, rather than psyching himself out and then missing a catch because he's afraid of the defender. Don't be afraid. Just be tough. That's Fehoko's problem. He can get there.

Washington just had a bad break.

Turpin likely isn't the answer, but I could see him changing my mind somewhere.

If you bring in a guy like Beckham, that's going to cost you draft capital, or valuable cap space that could help you next year. And it's not a guarantee. It's Odell Beckham, but it's Odell Beckham with a torn ACL.

I personally think it might be our running back.

I can see them bringing in a WR, but it'll be after this game, if they do. I think they end up holding their cards, though.

Don't confuse me with an animal nut. I have no problem with hunters. I've gone on hunting trips just for the food, beer, and camping trip alone. I just can't bring myself to shoot them. But would if I had to.

I see your concern with the lack of Cooper, but the Cowboys had problems even when Cooper was here. Find a way to win with who you have. We have enough talent at WR. It's up to the coaching staff to put them in the best position to win. I fully expect BIG FAT MIKE to figure it out. And again, come December, OBJ is always an option if they choose to go that route. I'm not sure how much help he would be, but it can't hurt. And like you said, Washingtom might pan out.

the funny thing is that I consider myself an “animal nut”. 3 bird baths, 5 hanging feeders, daily dusting of millet seed for doves and daily feedings of sunflower seeds and assorted nuts for the squirrels and chipmunks. Its hard to explain the differences in taking an animals life that you eat and at the same time bringing deer and turkey corn during the harsh winter months ( out of season) when I know that food is scarce…….I know it must sound hypocritical at some level but that’s where I land, lol

….and I’d be willing to take a flyer on OBJ. He did a good job with his time with the Rams and I’m never against getting our Qb another target that has playoff experience. That’s one thing we could use in this current locker room

Couldn't agree more, Gallup has been out of action for a while, he is just getting reintegrated to the speed of the game as well, same as Dak.
Once this offense starts getting a rhythm back, this offense has enough to start getting busy.
Now adding a pass catching back to the mix like a Kareem Hunt would really help asap.

Went to summer camp every year as a kid, heard stories of bears, counselors even telling us to make plenty of noise on the trails to alert any bears in the area…never saw one….ever, for many years.
Last couple of years we’ve seen over 10, they visited the cabin every night. We go trout fishing up there several times a year, and even in broad daylight you’d see them. Now we add air horns and bear spray to the tackle box….it’s crazy how bears are running around now.

thats been a lot of people experience nationwide. I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad sign. If there isn’t enough food in the forest or neighboring farms, I would say it’s a bad sign. But if it’s just because the wildlife population has exploded due to conservation and people following rules than it’s a good sign in terms of the various species doing well.

of course the extinction or lowering numbers of apex predators in their areas can be another explanation

You're like the Gerard Manley Hopkins of football fans.

True poetry.

Gallup and Lamb are dishrags. If a defender tries to make a play on the ball they don't protect it. They seem to think it's enough to catch the ball if it comes to them- but they don't even do that all the time.
Most people can catch the ball if it's thrown to them.
But they don't shield the pass if a defender tries to make a play on it. The defenders swat them out of the way and continue on.
They aren't true possession receivers.
Yes, the Cowboys need two.
They both remind me of Terrance Williams the body catcher.
