I would love to see Romo call his own plays. Won't happen but I would be more than interested to see how he would do. My gut says he would do great.

Then the defense would blow it and some how the media would put it on Romo. Ha
Still think he would do a great job.

You're saying you'd like to see Romo have Peyton-esque control of the offense?

I would have absolutely no problem with that. It could be no worse than what is being put out on the field by the genius.

I've been saying this as well. I'd too would love to see the season finished off with Romo as essentially the OC.

After seeing Garrett's Red-Zone play calling this last game, I have a bit more confidence in his play calling going forward. Would be interesting to see Romo calling all the shots on offense though, though I could see him going for it on 4th and long situations lol.

We'd definitely be going for it on some 4th downs, but one could argue we should be doing that anyway. One things for sure, the offense would be a lot more aggressive.

I don't get this thread. Romo often audibles out of the play that's called based on what he sees in the defensive allignmnet.

Doesn't he get 2 calls each play? I sure thought so.

That's not the same as calling your own plays. He apparently calls plays during the 2 minute drill and they do very well in those situations.

was just about to post this.

they ALWAYS seem to move the ball extremely well in the 2-minute drill

Something I notice about the 2-minute drills we run is the sudden emergence of crossing routes.

Ever since Roy Williams got popped by the bears I don't remember a good 10-15 yard completion to a crossing receiver outside of the 2 minute drill.

the only thing i can think of is that since we seem to only do it at the end of the half / end of games, the opposing teams are running prevent defense (or some variation of) to keep us out of the endzone and leaving the middle wide open

i cannot confirm this though without watching the all 22
