The Five Greatest QB-RB-WR Trios in NFL History

Not much of an historian....

Forget the inflated numbers of today, they are the result of rule changes specifically designed to open the offense too more scoring.

Look to the results. I'm not saying that every one of these should replace the existing five. However, each should be strongly considered:

Griese-Czonka-Warfield (three consecutive SB appearances, although Greise missed one due to injury, it took the formation of a new league to break them up)

Staubach-Dorsett-Pearson (Their careers intersected for three seasons, bringing 2 SB appearances and a championship, the Cowboys most dominant period in their franchise history)

Bradshaw-Harris-Swan (Four Super Bowl championships)

Starr-Taylor-McGee (The most feared trio of the 60's powered the Packer dynasty, five championships in 8 seasons)

Graham-Motley-Speedle (five consecutive NFL championships for the Browns).

I’d move #4 to #1, leave #2 and the rest is all debatable. Not a bad list though.

I agree. #3 might have been the best of all three for one season but didn’t have the longevity of #4 and #2.

Not to mention 0 MVPs between the three of them and 5 First Team All Pro selections between them.

The triplets have an 3 Super Bowls, 1 MVP and 5 First Team All Pro selections between them

I find the objective credibility of 'MLFootball' to be practically zero. Nonetheless, I was loosely referring to how the sports media/social media identify former players to their past teams in terms of negative news stories.

Currently, Antonio Brown is wanted on an attempted murder charge. I was curious whether news outlets, especially local news outlets, would report the ongoing story identifying Brown as a former Pittsburgh Steelers player only. Or mention him as a New England Patriot and/or Tampa Bay Buc also.

For whatever reason, I hadn't even thought of Elway, Smith, and Davis. I was too young to have actually watched your first two trios actually play a full game and don't feel comfortable evaluating their place based solely on highlights and reputation. But I'd definitely kick the Rothlisberger, Brown, Bell trio off the list and put the Broncos one on there.

I'd also rearrange things a little bit:

1-Rams triplets
2-Cowboys triplets
3-Colts triplets
4-49ers triplets
5-Broncos triplets

The first two are basically interchangeable to me. I almost put the Aikman, Smith, and Irvin at #1 (and am still tempted to edit to do so before posting...but I'll stick with what I put down). I feel the same way about the bottom three. It's really hard to decide between them.

In New England, they just mention his name they don’t mention him being a former player to any particular team
Maybe they just assume, most people know what or, he or who he is associated with .
Which is itself is probably ignorant of them because not everybody follows professional sports
Or they just don’t find it relevant enough to mention
But any case you’re right, if they’re going to mention a team, they should mention all teams associated with. Which is probably why they don’t mention it at all time is money on the air, lol
