Obviously trading down is always an option..assuming we cannot hammer home a deal to move down, who do you pick at 27 if the following players have already been selected..I am just naming names..order has no bearing in this thread..just assume the following are taken

suh
Mccoy
Clausen
Berry
Bulaga
Okung
Davis
T. Williams
Pierre Paul
Mcclain
Bryant
Haden
Morgan
Spiller
Graham

Weatherspoon
Kindle
Gresham

Thomas
Odrick
D. Williams
C. Brown

In this scenario probably Nate Allen but if this happens we will more than likely trade back.

That would be just a terrible scenario for Dallas though.

Which is why trading up is a very likely option this year

yeah, I intended to make a worse case scenario...this appears to be as bad as it could possibly get..trying to see who we should take if this does end up happening...I would probably agree with you and go with Nate Allen..either him or Tate

If I couldn't trade down I'd probably take Devin McCourty, CB out of Rutgers. Mays or Campbell might be in the mix as well.

No, it's not and the sooner you realize that the less disappointed you will be on draft day

Just to move up 5 slots would cost us our 3rd rounder (or 10 slots, our 2nd pick)...I just don't see that happening when we are already short a pick. Would you really be willing to do that? if so, that's your choice...b/c we are all GMs today.

This is an ideal draft to slide down some and pick up an extra 3rd, IF (and only if) the value is not there at 27. If the value is there, our 27th slot is pretty nice really. No way all of those guys are gone, btw.

If we had to pick there, I would take Bruce Campbell. At 27 all of a sudden his warts are nothing compared to his upside.

No just feels like you think you own the draft or something.

I like Devin Mccourty and would be fine starting him and moving Ball to FS, but Mccourty is just a very good starter and excellent ST player. Guys like Iupati, ET, and Anthony Davis have pro-bowl potential and could be had in a trade up

Get over yourself

Check out this scenario. Very possible and scary

The difference between getting ET and Mays would cost us a 4th

If you think about it we have 6 picks in a 7 round draft, these picks are at the end of every round. We have no ammo to move up. Were not going to find someone to dump us a 1st or 2nd round pick for castoff player.

This is also the deepest draft in a decade, from everything I hear Dallas has yet to fall so in love with a player that they are willing to sell the farm just to have.

If your looking for trade up options it's going to happen only if we trade down first.

Clearly it is. Youre ignoring the facts. What happens if ET gets taken by Philly at 24? Were then stuck w/ Mays, Cambell, Odrick, Cody or another crappy trade down. All b/c we cant get rid of that 4th.

Genius. And we lost out on Max Unger b/c of the pick that ended up being like Deangelo Smith

Golden Tate all the way.

He's one reason I believe we're sitting in pretty good shape of getting a quality player at 27. About anyway you cut it, one of the following will be available: Iupati, Tate, Dan Williams, Pouncey, Thomas or Odrick.

I don't think we can got wrong drafting one of those players or a few others who might fall.

I dont think they value Dan Williams like most of these other teams b/c we have our nose.

That drove me crazy. Please stop.

Don't worry, Earl Thomas is not falling all the way to Philly:crossed:

I already have one gentleman's bet with you that Jax won't take Tebow in Rd1. Don't make me take easy money again.:)

Ignoring what facts, your the one pretending like you know for a fact where these guys are going to fall. I promise you Dallas is not interested enough in Earl Thomas to give away even a 4th and if you believe he will be there at 24 then your a little further out there then I thought.

Jerry is not trading up, it's not his style when he does not have the resources to do it. Maybe we can dump Bennett, a 4th round pick and future pick in they fall in love with someone but then again you could come up with a 100 different off the wall scenario's involving picks for the next 10 years to get anything done.
