The front office has failed to build depth - again

We had a prime LB prospect in the first round that passed on. The guy that San Fran took. Forget his name. We reached for Soft Taco instead.
Reuben Foster. So far this year he's battled rotator cuff and now groin injuries. Injured in college too, which is why he fell to the bottom of the 1st round.

I thought we were talking about depth? Moving goalposts again?
There is a very different thing in churning the bottom of the roster (especially when a roster spot opens due to suspension RE Zeke) vs. signing guys on Wed and having them start for you...START FOR YOU....on Sunday.

We are a far cry from where we were just 4 years ago. Anyone saying otherwise is lying or misremembering to further an agenda.

the hate agenda will never die. thanks for your clarity

Losing Free didn't affect Green or LT. They would have kept La'el at LG if Free was still the starter at RT. They wouldn't have made La'el the swing Tackle.
That was not the point.

Losing Free set things in motion that brought us here. Which is having a player like Chaz Green as a swing tackle.

I don't think the club was prepared to have Free walk on them. Then they were forced to do what they often do. Which is nothing and cross their fingers.

Well, that decision may have cost them a season just as much as losing Lee or having Elliott suspended.

We were still talking about depth not starters.....just because our starters are a little better it doesn't excuse bringing in the same type of slop for back-ups..... if they can't play they can't play and we are sitting on 30m in cap space

That happens when you gamble too much on injured players or guys with character issues in the 2nd round and rarely hit on anyone on day 3. Not to mention our coaching staff can't develop players and the other sideline constantly coaches circles around our staff.

That makes no sense. Green would have been the swing tackle either way.

If La'el or Cooper were failing then you could link that back to Free.

In reality La'el is much better than 2016 Free.

Revisionist history. Suddenly losing free was thr straw that broke the camel's back?

That's what you're going to argue?

Yikes.

I am not ready to chuck Green out yet. He also played very well before. I think they should have just left him at OT. Morning him to OG was a mistake IMO.
I think Green is strictly a RT. They should have left him there and left Collins at Guard.

90% of all DE's are projects
That is a very broad generalization.

In your mind, Jermey Parnell is an All Pro.

I will just leave it at that.

I know that is childish, but really don't care right now.

Compared to Chaz Green, Parnell is more than All-Pro.

Shango said as much in his most recent video. No, Shango's not the ultimate expert. Yes, he's a good guy and tells it as he sees it. IMO he's right in this video. Take it for what it's worth.

Shango doesn't understand how teams like Philly and Minnesota can lose key players and keep rolling along and we cant.

Its called coaching bro, Zimmer in Minny and Pederson in Philly are not stupid like Jason Garrett is. They actually tailor their offense and defense according to the talent they have available. They don't say stupid chit like "next man up" and don't change a dam thing no matter who is in the game. We run the same plays out of the same formations on the same down and distance no matter who is in the game, that is just freaking stupid or as Shango said, "its just not smart".

I am just astonished that after 8 years on the job folks are just now realizing this about Garrett, where the hell have they been?
