Jerry and Garrett lacks the foresight to see what this team really needs.

For two years we have been devastated by injuries on both sides of the line. We did address most of the problems on oline somewhat. But really its one year too late.

Now were devastated on the dline. How can the front office not see that we needed Dline help badly? Especially when all your dline starters were over the age of 30?

Someone posted here that we have had terrible drafts and I think thats true. Our entire 2009 draft has gone down the drain. But Jerry could have gotten Ungar if he traded up to a No. 1 pick.

Basically, what I see is that the Cowboys front office doesn't know what their true problems are. Mainly Jerry and Garrett. They seem to ignore that the line isn't that important to the team. Now its coming back to bite us in a big way.

These injuries is the fault of Jerry and Garrett. They should have had the foresight to fix our most glaring problems - which is the oline and dline.

The front office cares more about the Cowboys brand than the Cowboys football team. If you got paid a fortune and kept your job regardless of your performance, what is the motivation to improve or at least do a good job? There is none. Nepotism is a *****, isnt it? However, this brand is unique in that it still sells even when it is of low quality. The CEO actually doesn't care what you say about his organization, as long as you are saying something. That, in and of itself, is very very telling.

I liked Jerry's comment after the game. "I didn't see this coming"! We have rotated 17 DL in so far and he expects to win against good teams.

I saw it coming......................................a mile away. It doesn't take much to see or realize it either, and that is why it is so frustrating. Jerry is pathetic.

First of all Spencer is currently 29, so "all of the dline starters are not over 30"

Secondly outside of Ratliff did you see that Spencer wouldn't play a single snap, or that Ware (who hadn't missed a single game up to now) would miss three stright?

Thirdly you're not going to fix both the OL and the DL in a single draft.

With that being said Jones (who picked Garrett) clearly is in over his head when it comes to running the football side of things.

Foresight...Heck sometimes they lack Hindsight as well, which is even scarier IMO.

Unfortunately, they don't learn from their mistakes. Same mistakes being made over and over and over again regarding the draft, trading draft picks, doling out cap killing contracts to aging stars, inability to let players go, etc, etc.

Oh I forgot ... we can just move more money in the future and then we're fine with the cap. More 8-8 seasons ahead.

this. the foresight threads are for 2010-2012. this team is about to go into its 2nd offseason with a need at tackle and two guards. deja vu.

The team definitely does not anticipate needs well enough in advance and always seems to be reacting only when problems become critical.

And safety for about the fifth year in a row.

we haven't really had a rash of injuries on the OL. If we had, we would quickly see the gm has no idea how to make sure we have depth.

I love the "you're not going FIX it in one off season," excuse for fixing the OL. It's been broken for many off seasons!

Haha.. ain't that the truth! They should start saying.. "hey, you're not going to fix the offense or defense in one decade, it takes at least 3 decades"

You have to have a clue to have foresight.

The Bengals are missing their 3 best defensive players, yet they somehow managed to allow less than 40 first downs yesterday. Stop making excuses.

LOL I know. That's what foresight is; you have a long term plan rather than a series of one year plans.

And you also don't wait until your veterans are completely broken down shells of themselves before you think about replacing them.

As long as he has a bottle of Jack, his personal eyewear cleaner and the Cowboys are making headlines (good or bad) Jerry the Owner is happy.
