When?

It was adequate in 2009. It was a dumpster fire from 2010 until about the time Frederick showed up, then it slowly improved to where it is now.

Kevin Kawalski, Phil Costa, Montrai Holland, Doug Free

Yep E and all anybody has to do is pull up some You Tube Clips and watch him make things happen while running for his life.

His oline is crap now, and Lynch is gone. Any team with a good defense is shutting them down completely. Just 3 lousy points against the Rams, Bucs, and Packers.

I'm not worried about Seattle nearly as much as Atlanta, New York, or Green Bay, now that Rodgers has got himself on track again.

Right again.

Wilson got exposed a bit this year with his line and lack of a running game, yet hs still has a great defense.

Without both, he never takes his team to a Super Bowl.

That dude put in more miles in those days than a center mid for Real Madrid. LOL

Remember that 105 rating against the Vikings? Dak had 12 completions for 139 yards and 10 offensive points. That QB rating meant squat.[/QUOTE]

true vs Minn he has 12 completion but you leave out the coaches only called 18 passes so 12 out of 18 not a big night but then with all the penalties and being well behind the chains the coaches were smart enough not to play into the strength of the Vikings which was their defense so they played it close to the vest and put in on the Vikes offense to beat us and they were not capable. QB rating does not mean squat hell Aikman has a career rating of 81.6 and a career high of 99 but when you are winning SB who the hell cares how many yards or how high his QB rating was at the end of the year it means nothing. Dallas is not asking Dak to go pass happy they run an offense very similar to what the Cowboys did in the 90's which was not a pass happy team they relied on the ground game and making few mistakes. It is the mistakes that kill you

I just hate that statistic. Only one third-down conversion, no yards to speak of, no points to speak of, and you get a 105? That's a useless stat if so.

I was referring to 2007 using that season as an example to point out the big plays we had with a young Romo but it resulted in a career high 19 INT's. Romo also had 10 fumbles that season. We had the most "explosive" offense in franchise history that season but we didn't get past the first round of the playoffs. If we had a receiver like TO who could beat coverage we could take more shots down the field.
Except we didn't really have TO in those playoffs.

Anyway, I see the point you were making...though I think maybe the 2014 offense scored more than that version in 2007. Romo also had a higher YPA in 2014 and threw for more TDs/game with..as you pointed out...far less turnovers.

But yes, there's a legit argument to be made against just chunking the ball down the field without digression.

Wilson is a game manager. That's why he's been held to 3 points twice in the past month.

Dak doesn't have the luxury of Seattle's vaunted defense. Taking care of the ball is great, but you have to strike for big plays, too. Otherwise, you get New York and Minnesota.

And there you go. lol

I like the win, Dallas was making a lot of mistakes in the vikes game constantly getting nailed for holding putting them in long yardage situation the exact situation Minn needed us to be in to play to their strength so that Dallas would have to force things and the Cowboy coaches did not do that, it was smart football on a poor night. I'm not looking for heros I want someone smart enough to not make the critical mistakes that get you beat. As Jimmy Johnson would say it is not the team who is making the most big plays it is the team who is making the fewest mistakes who will win.

Except we didn't really have TO in those playoffs.

Everyone acts like we didn't have TO for the playoffs because they're looking for excuses for the loss but we did have him and he produced 4 catches for 49 yards and a TD. He had at least three games that season where he had less production including only 2 catches for 37 yards in week 15 against Philly a week prior to him being injured. What we didn't have in those playoffs was the same team we had during most of the regular season.

Everyone bashing our really good young 12-2 QB Dak so Jerry will get scared and take him out and we won't win a SB. Romo won't win us a SB. He gets hurt too easy.

Why are there so many people on this board that don't want to win a SB? :(

I thought the Minnesota game showed this team's character. In years past we would have lost a game like that.

I agree. Leading up to the Minn game they had gone 4-1 at home. They are a team who has a aggressive defense who can force mistakes Dallas did not allow Minn to play to their strengths.
