That Pats team was really really good today, by the way.

No they were not. That is a very beatable team. I was there and came away very unimpressed. The Dallas offense was much more so. Some because of Weeden, but probably 75% on the coaches. There were plenty of opportunities, but this team played things right into the hands of the Patriots. They CHOSE to make things easy on them.

Jason Garrett is what he is. A mediocre football coach. For years we've heard excuses why he failed so epically in game managing situations. No other coach in the league could've kept his job because he's Jerry's guy. Then last year after Dallas had a great season everyone kissed his *** including myself. It's clear watching this season without Dez and Romo he isn't good.

The lack of in game adjustments, the lack of a damn spine to go for it knowing you've got an uphill battle and your scrub quarterback managed to finally get you in scoring position, the vanilla schemes, we don't do anything to make things easier on some of these receivers. See it throughout the league. Don't see here in Dallas.

We've seen average coaches have success because of all time great players. Tony Romo if it weren't for the obvious bias against him because he's a Cowboy would be a Hall of Fame quarterback. Dez Bryant is gonna right there with the likes of Randy Moss and Michael Irvin when his career is all said and done. These two guys are why the Cowboys have always been competitive. Even though those 8-8 teams weren't very good they were always in the thick of things because of the greatness of these two guys not Garrett.

He preaches fight that's great how about preaching a less basic offense. How about putting your players in better position to make plays. Even when Dez is in there he just allows him to get doubled and not try and move him around and soften some of that coverage he sees. Romo has bailed this guy out time and time again.

Remember the Green Bay game a few years ago? DeMarco was averaging 7 yards a carry against an atrocious Green Bay run defense and instead of trying to continue to pound away and help an all time bad defense with a very productive back he got pass happy even though it was obvious to anyone with a brain we should've been running the ball.

The last game we played against the Pats he got conservative and settled for 3 instead of going for the score when you're on the road against the best team in the league at that time. We all know about the Arizona debacle in that same year. Icing your own freaking kicker. Just unbelievable how many times this guy has cost us a football game.

Dallas showed last year they can win despite such a clown for a head coach because of the elite talent on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe he's smart enough to realize we aren't winning a damn thing with Brandon Weeden and starts Cassell and that gives us a spark and we can manage to win a few games and then Romo as usual will save Garrett's ***. It's just frustrating to see Garrett continue to hold this team back.

Wait, weren't you making excuses for Garrett and pimping him last week?

I seriously may not watch another game until Romo gets back..

These coaches are awful..

I watch Brady and Brees both do 1 read passes most of the game and we got Weeden out there in a non deceptive offense that is predictable.

What do these coaches expect is going to happen if the whole world knows what we are going to do?

you are absolutely right,,,,,,,like a 99.9% chance of the offense running on 1st down. Guess thats the players fault...not coaches.

I ask again, what is he good at? What are his qualifications? Do we look prepared most weeks? Do we make good adjustments? He stopped calling plays and Romo led the league in passer rating, Dez in TDs and Murray in yards. So again, what does he do?

He's good at the following:
1. Clapping hard and long
2. Chewing gum and clapping at the same
3. Chewing gum, clapping, and giving the crazy eye stare
4. Not making adjustments
5. Not giving Cmike a chance
6. Being stubborn

You forgot flapping wings like an angel and telling everyone he is incapable of adjusting to a situation, any situation.

You really think all JG does during games is chew gum and clap? Really?

He also holds up his finger for 1 point or 2, but today he didnt get to do that, as no td's!!
That bugs me, as he does it after every td , and If you score your first td on opening drive does your team really need to be told if it is one or two points ??
other coaches do it too, but JG does it after every td.

I believe you mean 6x SB appearing head coach, 4x* SB champion.

But I'm not sure exactly when pick plays became allowed.

I remember Witten getting called out for one being missed last week against NO, yet the Pats ran them all day long today and Phil Simms mentioned it just once but made no mention that it was illegal like Collinsworth implied last Sunday night.

The media doesn't mention it because the narrative has already been scripted - and that the Patriots can do anything they want and the league will help them to win games. Especially against the dreaded Cowboys.

People here voice their disappointment with Williams. However, that guy is getting mugged and no flags. However, when we lay one hand on the other team flags are thrown from all directions. The bias is obvious - especially when the commentaries try to cover it up as though it was good play by the other team.

I was wrong. I openly acknowledge that. I'm done defending the guy. He's not gonna get fired so it's whatever I guess, but I'm not gonna sit here and defend the man and act like he's anything other than a mediocre football coach.

Hey, I can at least respect you for admitting that you were wrong about him. That's more than I can say about a lot of people who keep on the homer glasses, ya know?

So the excuse this week is that the Pats are just too good...............what was the excuse last week when we lost to the winless Saints with a one armed QB (the exact same team the Eagles routed today)?

Excuse?

You just quoted my legitimate reason the severely undermanned Cowboys lost to the best NFL team in the 21st century, hands down.

Is it possible that you are one of the guys that jumps all over any other poster that might claim Tony Romo isn't in the same class as Troy Aikman or Roger Staubach? Have you ever declared that the Cowboys would be totally screwed without him?

Are these quotes familiar?

__________________________________________________________________________

If we can go 3-4, we will still be in striking distance of the division when Romo returns

The fact that most fans are just hoping for 2 or 3 wins from Weeden over these next 8 games should tell everybody how important Romo is to this team.

.................might as well just tank for picks now, the season is done.

Every QB on this team, except Romo, sucks so it doesn't really matter

We did not win a single game last year where Romo did not take every snap and nothing has changed

We are not beating Tampa with Weeden or Vaughn or showers or any other scrub QB.

Are these excuses?

Yeah, I'd extend him again tomorrow if his contract were up.

Not sure I agree with you that wavering back and forth on the obvious for bad reasons is something to tip your hat to, either.

They're not bad reasons at all. It just takes some people longer to admit coaching incompetence than others.

No one has the clap/spit/clap down like Garrett

Don't short change him
You have to give the guy his due
