Remember our "love fest" in '09/10 when we steamrolled Philly in the Wildcard headed to MN?

Not concerned with it. It is annoying, but the plus side is perhaps the Packers will buy into their own hype.

This happens in a lot of divisional round matchups. Especially when the team rests in Week 17. Recency bias is all encompassing in an instant gratification society so this shouldn't be surprising.

Sweet. Another thread talking about the disrespect we are getting!

It started in the second half yesterday. This is the same thing that happened in 1993 (early 1994) when no one gave the Cowboys a shot against Steve Young and the Niners at home in the NFC Champ game at Texas Stadium. Jimmy got on the radio and guaranteed a victory.

George Seifert later came back and said "we'll find out if they are brass or paper mache"

Jimmy confirmed in his post game pressed that they are brass by starting it off with that statement.

I dont recall a more wonderful series of statements by any of Dallas's head coaches, that was so awesome

Yup it sure has. Listening to local sports radio on my way to work and Sean Salisbury was on. He has the Packers beating the Cowboys mainly because of the play of Rodgers and Cowboys starting two rookies who have never been in this situation before. Also said that there are 7 good teams left that can win it all. Said the Texans offense is so bad it would take a miracle for them to win the SB. We will see what happens.

Odd. I'm not feeling any love for Green Bay. I only feel apathy for Green Bay.

I didn't have problems with the article until this section:

Green Bay is going to put up points against the Cowboys — if Rodgers was able to hang 38 on the Giants in bone-shattering temperatures, he can score on this not-so-great Cowboys’ defense indoors.

And the Packers’ defense, led by Clay Matthews and Mike Daniels, is strong against the run. (Daniels, in particular, was spectacular on Sunday in run-stuffing situations). Green Bay stands a chance of at least slowing down the Dallas run game.

So can a rookie quarterback in the biggest game of his life outscore a Rodgers who’s in the best form of his career?

Rodgers is playing so well that it doesn’t matter if Ty Montgomery or Jordy Nelson plays next weekend —
so long as Rodgers has that offensive line in front of him, he could grab a few seniors from Ashwaubenon High and score three touchdowns.

******

Problem 1: Dismissing any ill-effects of the freezing temperatures on the visiting team's performance is short-sighted. Both teams played in it but Green Bay looked more comfortable executing in the frigid temperatures than New York in my opinion.

Problem 2: Dallas has already challenged Green Bay's rushing defense this season. Their defensive performance versus the Giants in a playoff game doesn't preclude overcoming Cowboys rushing offense advantage in a week's time.

Problem 3: Maybe the NFL should begin drafting receivers from Ashwaubenon High. Unnecessary hyperbole is unnecessary...and hyperbole is very often unnecessary in a seriously intended article in my opinion.

Roger's is a great QB and holds the hope for GB in his passing arm. Punking the Cowboys has been
fashionable for years just like the media does Trump today. The Cowboys can win this game going away but,
they can't start false starting and holding on every offensive series. They have to score early, dig a hole
for GB and then cover it up on them.
-----------

Agree sports media , in many regards, is like political media. They pick a darling and diss the opposition or don't give them credit for being able to win...

Salisbury and Jaworski, two who sought gold and came up empty.. At least Jaws played in one.....

Nothing wrong with what Salisbury said. Note, I am not saying the Packers will win. But Rodgers can definitely carry a team in a game like this, he's that good.

And I also agree with the theory that any of the remaining teams can win a SB except for Houston. They stink, relatively speaking.

I'm not even going to waste my time reading that crap. It's expected. Aaron is the Brady of the NFC, but he and the Packers can be beaten.. we've already proved that this year. Besides, until our Boy's prove successful in the playoffs, we can really blame the talking heads for doing that. We've been overlooked and doubted all season. Ours Boys don't seem to mind. I've waited 20 long years, it's time for us to Shut dem UP!! #finishthefight

I find it funny he's so highly regarded like he is but has one less ring than Eli and the same amount as Dilfer, Brad Johnson and Joe Flacco.

Sometimes I actually like being the underdog or the team that everybody picks to lose, because it makes it better when my team wins!

I always like to be perceived as the underdog.

A seven game winning streak. Ooooh.

11 game winning streak
Tied for best record ever by a rookie QB
Most throws without an interception by a rookie QB
Holds Cowboys rookie records for most wins, most TD's, and highest QB rating.

By a rookie.

That is FAR more impressive, yet all you hear is the gurgling mouths over Rodger's boo sack.

That rookie stuff doesn't add points in the playoffs.

Let's put into perspective the last 6 games in the regular season for the Packers. The only impressive game was against Seattle and they are not as good as everyone thinks. The Packers should have lost to Chicago that's right Chicago and I am supposed to fear them? Get out of here we roll them this week 30 to 14 again!!!

Packers 27 Philly 13
Packers 21 Houston 13
Packers 38 Seattle 10
Packers 30 Chicago 27
Packers 38 Minnesota 25
Packers 31 Detroit 24

I agree with you. Salisbury has always been a straight shooter. He loves Dak though.
