The genius coaching hire(s) of Cowboys Coach Brian Schottenheimer

And what is sad is it didn't have to be this way. We all know who Dak is and what he brings (or maybe I should say "doesn't bring"). We all know he's not the future of the Cowboys. I just wish Barnum and Bailey (Jerral and Cap boy) would take off the blinders. If they upgraded the offense and defense like they say they did, then (for a year or 2) it doesn't matter who our QB is. We can still make it deep into the post season. It gives them time to find who our future Franchise QB is.

But I digress.
Maybe we don't know what Dak brings to the table seeing that he has had subpar play calling from the OC his ENTIRE pro career! Let's see how he looks without outdated play calling and defenses calling out the play and being spot on before he ever snaps the ball. If and it is a if these guys can bring Dallas play calling into the modern era then just maybe Dak is just what we need.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Schott ain't bringing in some new 2025 innovative scheme.
That's a huge portion of why he was hired.
So that Dak did not need to learn a new offense.
Not sure if you remember the evolution of said playcalling but ground zero was Linehan to Garrett to Moore. And that's where it was and is. The Moore to McFraud transition was the infamous "still 80 percent of Kellen's offense" so as Dak to stay comfortable.
There is not gonna be any Reid/ McVay/Shanahan/Payton type innovation on display here.
If anything, more basic and continuity. Possibly more resembling the first 2016 Linehan version of down hill running/timely play action.

Hint: It hasn't been on the now 5 different playcallers.
They had to keep it simple considering that's who they were working with at QB.
