The genius of Howie Roseman

I would not at all be surprised if that happens. Howie Roseman understands you win championships with dominant OL and DL because if you have that you can win without a superstar QB.

Saquon wasn’t really a big factor. Hurts was good but mainly because his OL is so dominant. He didn’t have to make big plays. He could have eaten a sandwich back there when he had to pass. And the eagles DL was so dominant the real superstar QB couldn’t get much going.

Saquon is part of the reason they got to
The Super Bowl. The cheifs keyed on him and hurts made them pay. The cheifs defense is very good. Spagnola is very good.

Sure a lot of it is the oline but having a mobile qb who can make plays and a rb like saquon makes it impossible for defenses to stop.

Dak had his best years with zeke. We need to get back to running the ball. Need to draft a rb

Agree with a lot of what you said and we need to draft a RB. But not in round one. That’s where you get monster DL like Jalen Carter who is the next Aaron Donald. Drafting a RB in round one…especially at 12 would be a huge mistake IMO.

The eagles showed tonight why having an all time great QB like Mahomes is not enough if the other team’s DL is in his grill all night. That eagles DL made Mahomes a non-factor.

FO is the most important aspect of modern football. The Eagles has the best in the league while we have one of the worst. They've won a super bowl, fell off, rebuilt, went to another one and didnt win that one, fell off shortly and now they win another superbowl. Meanwhile we're still cruising around going on 30 years of failure and we are still blaming the players or coaches.

Brilliant… It’s really not that difficult though… You use bonuses and void years to push everything down the road… Eventually, it’s time for a rebuild and you goes through a couple seasons of cap hell. And for that cap hell, you are rewarded with high high draft picks… Which allows you to rinse and repeat.
Don't forget the other side of the equation--picking the right talent, and knowing what talent to keep.

100% Bob. Look what the Giants did when they drafted Saquon. They went for the shiny piece and forgot to properly build the pieces to keep that piece shiny. And that shiny piece left and shined for another team that had taken the time to build a complete team.

Exactly right. No more need to be said breh

Eagles in 2029 have 4 players that take up 205 million of cap space not on contract. VOID years. That’s why all these players have low cap hit, and honestly why you can go out and sign a **** load of free agents, WE CAN DO THIS TOO. But choose not too, eagles legit go all in every year. I’d rather do it there way all damn day. We could sign osa, Milton williams , sweat, and add void years to the contract all for a low cap hit. And still go after Myles. This is the way. Build that defense line up. That pass rush won the Super Bowl tonight.

overthecap is good source for this. Don’t listen to the jones , IF they truly wanted to go all in they most definitely could. Especially this year , could easily free up too 100 million , more if they wanted too, and sign whoever they want with structures the way Philly did it. (Low cap hits with void years)

Parsons contract could help us so much this year if he is willing to take less pay like he said he would. All about the years. And add a couple void years to it and boom, hoping it’s a career contract, 6 years plus. Could have a low cap hit for a few years with that

I agree Bob. If you look at Mahomes 2 SB losses, and all 3 of Brady's SB losses (2 to the Giants and 1 to the Eagles), there is a common theme... A dominant DL that applied pressure all night and made Mahomes and Brady pedestrian. It starts in the trenches.

Eagles front office is the best in the league. They remind me of what the Niners did except they actually closed the deal in the Super Bowl. Like the Niners, they built a great team, got to a Super Bowl, then tore it down and did it again pretty quickly. Eagles have now won 2 Super Bowls with 2 totally different rosters. They do everything correct from the draft, trades, free agency. The polar opposite of Dallas' approach.

This is Howie’s trophy. With the Eagles the Eagles the QBs can change and the HC and entire staff and they just keep going.
Most dominant teams the catalyst is the QB and/or HC. In Philly its 100% the GM.

Chiefs had a good core and Reid but didnt get to the top until Mahomes. Patriots were Brady and Bill, but when Brady left NE fell apart while he went and won a SB with Tampa.

You have to go back to Washington in the ‘80’ when a multi- SB winner wasnt about the QB. Theismann, Doug Williams and Rypien all won SB’s. Those teams though were all about Gibbs and his system, primarily a dominant OL and defense.

With Philly they can change QBs and coaching staffs and still keep winning. They have a great GM with a plan, mainly building a dominant OL and D led by a dominant DL. Football 101.

I expect Jerry and Stephen will use 2 of our first 3 picks on WR and RB. Gotta sell those jerseys!

Absolutely… But at least you give yourself basically a blank check capsize to really build a Super Bowl window. If geriatric Jerry had of had that approach, it might be us celebrating a Super Bowl.

Seems Howie is out of contract this year. Jerry would never hire him, but wouldn't that be a game changer.
Likely, Howie Roseman reminds Jerry Jones of Jimmy Johnson, except as a general manager. So that is not happening outside of a Cowboy fan's dream.

Don't worry though. Mad Genius will show everyone how he got his Gold Jacket. Any decade now...
