They are not a good team. They have good players and beat two bad teams. That being said, we aren’t elite either. So a loss wouldn’t surprise me especially on the road.

They will be competitive in a lot of games because they had solid tackle play and an elite pass rush.

Azeez and Kayvon being back tomorrow swings the advantage in their favor. But I think we will find a way to win by limiting turnovers and playing solid D.

Their offense is nowhere here near the talent of the Bucs and Bengals.

They remind me of our 2019 3-0 start with wins against New York, Washington and Miami

No, I'm not a fan of the Giants. And I hate to be skeptical going in against a division rival. But the Giants are a good football team.

Their offense might be the best offense we've played all year and that's saying quite a bit considering we played Brady with a healthy Julio Jones in the opener. But I'm being serious. Overall, they're a good team. Their youth, power and ability to execute combines for a savvy offense. Daniel Jones is playing at a steadily high, nearly mistake-free level with 3 TDs to 1 INT. He's not a gunslinger, per se. But he can beat you.

On the other side of the ball, they're not quite as good as us. But they could pose problems. The Giants run a stout defense run by the former defensive coach in Baltimore.

He will likely try to create a lot of pressure, so I think that's likely why we are gearing up by giving Peters some reps. I am excited to finally see him play with the offense, along with the addition of Michael Gallup.

Overall, not to sound like a Vegas odds maker, but the game should be close. I'm going to say within 6 either way. Ultimately, as good as the Giants are, I'm looking for our offense find its spark with a few new players, a few new wrinkles as the catalyst. And I fear their luck may run out when we meet this Monday.
So give us a prediction for Monday night.

If they hand it to Barkley 24 times against us...we may lose. I'm not sold on this defense abilities to stop the run especially after the Tampa Bay game. Same problems, new year.

UMm how about last game Mixon was a top back last year and they ran it 19 times with him for 57yards..umm that not bad..so counter point..

definitely a need to stay in our lanes break down dont over run plays with SB , he can cut back on dime..so do your job team run defense..

their qb has like 48 QBR it starts and stops there, no matter how good SB might LOOK the first 2 games, our defsne played better offenses the first 2 games,

IM not sure where you are getting your info as your goggles are fogged.

solid TEAM maybe 2-0 more likely a mirage like our 3-0 19 start and IMHO NY is not close to what we saw the first 2 games. good try though.,. oh BTW our D might the best they faced. Gallup back etc i mean the only reason this will be close is Daks out..weve beat them 9 of the last 10 times by 2 scores or more. again Danny Nickles is back, weak link against our D knowing to load up to stop Barkley is the GP as usual force DJ to throw penny's.:muttley::lmao2:
We are better than them on paper as of now, even with Rush at QB.

But it’s a division game and anything can happen.

I want to see this team come out with the urgency and intensity that they did last week. If they do, it’ll be a long night for NY. If they take their foot off the gas because they just beat last years runner up, it may be a disappointing night for us.

The Giants are going to be better coached and more prepared than we are used to seeing.

Im quite skeptical on McCarthys ability to motivate this team on a weekly basis, and most of that isn’t even on him.

Honestly this game is a toss up. Comes down to big plays (and ref calls) and when they happen. Many games are like that.

Overall point I’m trying to make……the gap is narrowing within the division. Don’t expect these games to be rollovers like many of them have been of late.

I think the Tampa game was we eventually wore down.

After our first drive our offense has drives of 3, 3, 3, 5, 5, 9, 3, 11 and 8 plays. That’s four 3 and outs and the 5 play drives went for 13 and 10 yards.

Any defense will wear down to that.

The Giants will win between 4 and 7 games this season.

NOT EXPECTING anything the OP was way way off just saying the Gnats have better offense then the last 2 we players.. cant take that post seriously , ended the read right there.

Facts are TB and Cinci are better teams than the gnats , period end of story., we are getting Gallup back, hoping peters comes in and gets LG ect.. yes close game on the road without Dak.

Yup. Barkley is a very poor man’s Barry Sanders type.

Easily stopped for anywhere from minus 2 to plus 2 on many plays, but then he is gone for 70 at any time. That plus the mobility of Jones and I’m not sure our game plan is going to contain much of our real strength, which is Micah rushing the passer.

It may be one of those frustrating ones where he drops in coverage more than most want to see.

As long as it wins the game, fine by me.

If our defense could play every week like they did last week, I would be thrilled. But I'm withholding my enthusiasm until they become more reliable, week in-week out.

Fingers crossed.

Yeah, what happened to our Dline's rotation... is a question I have from that game.

they count have played much better in B2B games, they got wore out in the TB game and Fournette got some runs on us, and? its obvious game 1 first time playing the entire game and have our offense punt the ball 14 times , yes they wore down but hardly looked bad.. they frustrated TB and that offense all GAME

IT WAS GAME 1 they didn't play in the PS much at all and have an offense spit the bit. Stop the nonsense, you lose this debate. Keep up the fight , you will lose..

I hope cox is active with Barr, cox, and Parsons all can cover or rush etc this is the game we will need that skillset. im expecting our D to be now in game shape and starting to be in full game shape , they will be ready to play.

Excellent point.

Many things were working against us vs TB, including how damned good their defense is.

By the same means they aren’t quite as good as the atrocious Cin OL made them look.

They are somewhere in between. To what degree Prescotts injury forced us to stay with the run, and how much that affected things is up to greatly varying opinions.

Barr played the run well last week. I was surprised, I didn’t realize he had that type of game.

Dude...what?

Stop the planet? You're saying our defense can't be great if our offense sucks. Ever heard of a guy by the name of Rex Grossman? The Bears offense stunk that whole entire year, but how was their defense? That defense carried Rex Grossman to a Super Bowl. Do you really think our current defense could do the same for this team? Our defense played great last week. If they want to be known as one of the best of the best they need to do that every week.

I hope week one was an abomination. I hope this defense establishes itself as one of the best in the NFL this year. I hope they do turn out to be a defense that can carry us to the Super Bowl.

they played great TWO STRAIGHT WEEKS..
so again, you are wiping egg off your face talking those 2 games down when if you watched you can see a dominate D ..look at who we played and the exact situations. how about we play all 17 and you will see maybe they do carry us further, ill take 2nd round playoff berth given the way this year started and no dak for 4-5 games. that would be incredible...
