No, I'm not a fan of the Giants. And I hate to be skeptical going in against a division rival. But the Giants are a good football team.

Their offense might be the best offense we've played all year and that's saying quite a bit considering we played Brady with a healthy Julio Jones in the opener. But I'm being serious. Overall, they're a good team. Their youth, power and ability to execute combines for a savvy offense. Daniel Jones is playing at a steadily high, nearly mistake-free level with 3 TDs to 1 INT. He's not a gunslinger, per se. But he can beat you.

On the other side of the ball, they're not quite as good as us. But they could pose problems. The Giants run a stout defense run by the former defensive coach in Baltimore.

He will likely try to create a lot of pressure, so I think that's likely why we are gearing up by giving Peters some reps. I am excited to finally see him play with the offense, along with the addition of Michael Gallup.

Overall, not to sound like a Vegas odds maker, but the game should be close. I'm going to say within 6 either way. Ultimately, as good as the Giants are, I'm looking for our offense find its spark with a few new players, a few new wrinkles as the catalyst. And I fear their luck may run out when we meet this Monday.
Don't use "Good" and "Giants" in the same sentence!

NYG are a good team, better than anyone expected, anyway, but I think the beagles are the class of NFCE...so far from what I've seen.
1 Eagles.
2 Giants.
3A Cowboys. (No matter your feeling of #4, losing you QB does rattle your team.)
3B Red-skins.

I would say the Giants are an "improved" football team.
They are not a good football team, unless the bottom 10 in the league counts as good.

They were outclassed by the Titans but they capitalized on two long runs by Barkley, went for 2 at the end instead of the tie with an extra point and got lucky the Titans kicker missed their game winning field goal.

They matched well with the Panthers but the Panthers fumbled the ball deep twice in their side of the field in the first 5 minutes of the game including on the opening kickoff. The Giants only managed 6 points from those two turnovers.

The Giants have been like the Cowboys in that they have been opportunistic, aggressive at times and a little lucky.

The main difference between the Cowboys and Giants after 2 games (which is way too small of a sample to judge a season on) is mainly the Cowboys defense appears to be better.

You have to give credit to the Giants because they are finding ways to win their games regardless of what you think about their team.

Turnovers and big plays will likely determine who wins the game Monday night.

Great post. I agree with you.

So how long have you been Giants fan? By the way, it explaines a lot based on your past posts.

That's hilarious, actually. What part of my posts explain I'm really a Giants fan, undercover? lol

To be honest, I've been around this board way before you were likely even here. I want to say about 20 years on this board. The first year this place began, I came over here with about 8-10 other guys from another Cowboys' board we frequently posted on. That board, was like Twitter, because you could only post so many characters per post.

I even spent some time at the old DC.com board.

In any case, nah . . . I've been a Cowboys fan most of my life, although I grew up as an Oilers' fan.

They're actually not and it's not just dismissing a rival. The Eagles are a good football team. The Wentzes could be. This Giants team is blessed to be 2-0.

Fair argument. I think the Eagles are a decent football team. I just don't think they have the QB to get it done, not against a defense like ours. If you think we disrupted Burrow's game, wait until you see our defense against the Eagles.

The thing I like, from an objective standpoint, about the Giants is that their offense plays smart, especially Daniel Jones. No, he's not an elite QB. But he is pretty savvy and smart. Much like Rush played, but he has a better arm.

Barkley is a lot better than given credit for. And their defense has potential.

I would say they are a team just beginning their season, and could start playing even better over the next two games. The fact they won those games shows that they are a tough team.

There’s not a lot of truth in anything you are saying lol

the giants offense sucks

Jones isn’t playing that well - yes, not many mistakes but he’s not playing that well

The giants aren’t a good team

the cowboys aren’t good either. So yes, the game will be close

We'll see down the stretch, won't we?

I can see the Cowboys winning this game. But I think it's possible we lose. It's going to come down to gameplan and execution.

Good teams take advantages of the breaks they get. That's what winning teams do: they find a way to win. That impresses me about the Giants. I'm not saying they're really elite anywhere. But all around, they're pretty good.

I didn't say great, which I think our team has the potential to be down the strech. But teams like the Giants can have success in this league, especially after a full season. They are very well coached.

They can be a good team. They need time for their OL to gel. I think their defense is suspect, especially their secondary.

But they match up well with the Cowboys offense which has been week at WR and has a backup QB. I am not expecting Dallas to run away with this one.

These are my observations as well.

So give us a prediction for Monday night.

Cowboys 27 - Giants 24

We have to score points this game. Should be the focus all week.

My thoughts are they have overachieved but they can be competitive

Correct. The team has potential to become very tough down the stretch. They're strategic.

Their defense is above average, but their OL is TERRIBLE and Daniel Jones is still Daniel Jones.

Being in their market I usually see them quite a bit. This season I've only caught a few minutes against the Panthers. Unless Jones made great strides this offseason, which wasn't apparent in the little bit I've seen this season, I don't see them being much of a threat offensively. Jones is not a good QB. The Cowboy's pass rush is likely going to get in his head early and often. Probably already is. Barkley isn't going to be able to do it himself.

Can't discount the division rival factor, but if the team shows up ready to play I'm feeling pretty confident.

Giants' two wins were against the Titans and Panthers - both 1-2 after their 3rd game today.
Despite their promising start - best in six seasons - they've had 5 straight seasons of 10+ losses.
Let's see what their record is 1/3 of the season in.
Next four games -
Cowboys
Bears
@ Packers
Ravens
