Lots of fun reading their forum.

They have posts wanting to bench Eli and fire the head coach.

Plus they have a post were they want Buddy Ryan to punch Gilbride

Gilbride: "OK Eli.......we need 18 yards for a first down.....DELAYED DRAW"

Buddy Ryan punches Gilbride in head!

as they say 'misery loves company' ...lol, no offense.

I think we shouldn't look at other NFCE foes and be happy. Even if we win the division with mediocre 8-8 record, it will be beat down in wildcard playoffs.

Sorry to say Seahawks , 49rs , packers , Chicago are playing good.

In before the "at least they have 2 rings over the past 5 years" comment.

How is it so easy to see what a comical overreaction that is in Giants land, after losing twice as many games by a lot more points, but there's somehow legitimate debate when the exact same reactions happen over here to an underdog road loss by one point? Shouldn't both overreactions be considered equally silly?

No. Not when you're dealing with a core of a team that won 2 Super Bowls vs. a core that has done nothing but fail.

Somebody has to tell the truth. When you win rings you earn the right to be treated differently than a core that has never won anything.

That team isn't the same team that won those Super Bowls, is just a shell of it's former self. Heck, there D-Line isn't even a 1/4th of what it use to be. Put it this way, I'd rather have the team we have this year over the team they have, not even close IMO. They have looked arguably the worst in the division.

That truth is painfully obvious to anyone who has followed this group risen ....no salt needed

Whenever anyone wants to bench Eli and fire Coughlin they go on to win the SB.

I want to say that this is true, but I'm going to give their fans a bit more credit than that.

If we won 2 super bowls recently but the direction the team was going is in the total opposite of what gained us success in the first place, there would be a legitimate reason to begin panicking.

And that's what is happening over there. It isn't the 0-2 hole they're in that they're concerned about... well not JUST that. It's Jerry Reese's seeming inability to fix the faltering foundation of the team and his disregard for fixing things that need to be fixed.

The core of the team that won two Super Bowls still remains. You can't treat them like they are the Cowboys who've done nothing but failed.

I'm not going to pretend winning doesn't matter anymore simply because the Cowboys can't win. Winning gives you credibility. You may be right. Maybe the Giants are headed in the wrong direction (what you hope more than what you predict) but their fans should certainly have more belief in their team and their ability to rebound from a rough start than Cowboys fans have.

There are no more passionate fans in sports than football fans. You're going to have the extreme highs and lows in all fan bases. I just don't believe you can say it's funny to see people laughing at Giants fans for overreacting yet they're doing the same thing here with the Cowboys. Well the Giants aren't the Cowboys. The Giants have actually won something over the last 15 years. You have a multiple time Super Bowl winning coach walking the sideline with a multiple time Super Bowl winning and MVP QB. They've proven what they can do. They've earned more respect. I wouldn't expect a rational objective Giants fan to be going "here we go again" after these first two games like Cowboys fans should. Because they have a recent history that includes winning.

I'm not saying we should laugh at them.

What I'm saying is that it's not completely irrational over there.

The fear is that the Giants are heading in the wrong direction by the moves they have and have not made as well as expiring careers of the staples that got them those 2 Lombardis. And honestly, I can't say I blame them for thinking that.

I stated on the Giants message board during the preseason that the Giants will reverse their fortunes this year. They will start out slow and finish strong. Sticking by that.
