The Gibbs Master Plan

The more I think about it, the more I begin to realize that the loss to the Patriots last week must have been in the Gibbs Master Plan to win a Lombardi. No Commanders team coached by Joe Gibbs could otherwise lose so badly. I think he wants other teams to underestimate us all year and then unleash the beast after this coming week.

I see what you did there.

Yeah, that's the way I had it figured-- Saint Joe is makin' the rest of the NFL overconfident...

It's working BRILLIANTLY, too... that wily ol' swamp fox...

Brilliant strategy, that great strategy should work as well as last year.

Unleash the beast against the helpless Jets? Wow, you should be very proud of your team, should your team beat 1-7 team.

After we knock Eagles out of playoff hunt Sunday we have Commanders on radar soon. We can then knock you down a peg firsthand.

You really believe Gibbs doesn't have a master vision or framework for his plan?

If he does, I doubt giving up 52 points to Pats and getting blown out was part of it.

Why would he stand there and allow it to happen without losing his cool then?
He was in a state of shock.

And no, Gibbs didn't allow anything, your team was abused and raped and your team couldn't do anything about it.

The thing that disappoints me is that none of our players started a fight towards the end of the game once it got past 38-0...we took the beating, and Gibbs didn't yell at anyone.

Surely he must of accounted for this somewhere or else he wouldn't have stood there and looked like he didn't understand what was happening.

Dude... coaches mellow out once they get into their 70's and 80's.

Gibbs did look irritated once during the 4th quarter. I saw him grimace and scratch his neck flap with the top of a ball point pen.

It might have been gas though.

Either way, I don't think he cared too much about what was happening on the field. I'm not sure he even knew what was going on.

Alzheimer's is a bad thing... but in a shellacking like that one... it might just have been a blessing in dusgise. Might have stopped a heart attack... although the NASCAR car battery in his pacemaker likely would have saved him.

Plus, Bugel playing with all the extra skin on his tricep area was at least a little entertaining in an otherwise boring display of pop-warner football by the Commanders.

It's not all bad. See?

It's called senility

and he couldn't stop what was happening to his team.

I'm going to try and do this as delicatley as I can because even though the skins disgust me I have some respect for Gibbs as a person. With that said....

I think he is totally out of his element now. The game has gone by him and I think he has a whole bunch more on his mind than football. His wife has been after him to retire for good from football and just go back to NASCAR full time.

The pressure on a man that age starts to wear after a while and I just think he doesn't get it anymore. The humane thing for danny to do, which he won't, is to ask him to retire so he doesn't have to fire him.

The Redsk*ns have the only fans in the NFL that who seriously think that when their team loses, it lost on purpose.

This is AT LEAST the 10th time I've heard a Redsk*n fan float this very same theory after a loss.

If you look in the dictionary under "delusional" you'll see a Skins fan.

You shouldn't think about stuff.

I haven't in YEARS...

It works for me... as a Cowboys offensive lineman said of Clint Longley after his famous relief job on Thanksgiving Day, I am a living embodiment of the triumph of the uncluttered mind...

Hogs, are you enjoying the folks who are taking this thread seriously as much as I am??

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHH... right over their heads, it went...

That's what I call Smarta$$ Nirvana, when you say something completely outrageous and your "victims" think you're serious... the word "pwned" was coined for exactly this situation...
