The GM is getting just what he deserves

The GM decided on a passing HC for a run first team. Say what you will about his predecessor but he understood what this team was built to do.

We are not a run first team by talent. Zeke ain't all that. He just isn't. Wasn't last year either. And the oline doesn't have the maulers up front, particularly with Collins and Smith out, and Looney at C. We're just better at pass protecting right now.

Also, the WR group could be the best in the league. Even Brown is looking useful. We should be leveraging that. And Dak is a very good QB, whether some people like that or not. He isn't perfect, but he's very good.

The oline had their best game with Biadasz at C. Maybe a coincidence. Maybe not too. Tyron is back. Steele is off the field. Best combo of the season. Good for the run game. But good for the pass game too.

I think we'll run better. Bell and Schultz are both blocking well. The WRs are demonstrated threat. Should open up the run game some.

We can be a very good balanced offense if we're not behind by 50 in the first quarter. We can run more. But we've got more strength in the passing game than the run game.

In January it was GREAT...new coach and staff...it is what we needed and wanted...we got it. Our GM finally did the right thing.
The 3 days of the draft...our GM was great as he stuck to the draft board presented to him. What more could you have asked for. He seemed to have nailed it. AND CeeDee was the correct choice, hands down. Shiny new watch or not.
A very unfortunate off season as it could not be the GM's fault. But yet 4 games into a very unpredictable season, and still put it all on the GM?

The GM is not infatuated with the passing game.

4 games into the season, And it looks bleak, but hardly all on the GM. Though ultimately it is as he is the one that can make changes. But way too early for that. Though a change in DC would suffice at the moment.

The GM is to blame for this pathetic defense. We used 1st and 2nd rd draft picks on the following: Taco, Jaylon, Gregory, LVE. The return on these 4 are pathetic. Not to mention the abundance of talent they passed on to get those guys. We extended DLaw to a huge deal for really one great season where he racked up his stats against poor teams. He's a waste now. We used a 2nd rd pick on Connor Williams. He isn't good. Awuzie was a 2nd rd pick and he sucks. We ignore the safety and DT positions and it rears its ugly head every year. Instead of building a defense, we just add short term spare parts every year. We give a huge extension to a RB who makes no real impact any longer. And since we signed him to that, we made Dak a guy who passes the ball a lot and puts the game on his shoulders every week.

This is not a team put together to sustain any type of success. It starts in the front office going back years.

Agreed with OP. Front office did not make defense a priority. They drafted Lamb to keep pumping up the offense. Lamb is a helluva talent, but it reminds me of those Lions drafts where they picked a WR in the top 10 three years in a row. At some point you have to consider need when drafting.

we had to draft LAMB...all the experts still agree that was the thing to do there. He was too good to pass up. PLUS, what rookie at that point was gonna be good enough to step in on defense and make a big difference? Look how awful we are. We are 10 players away on D...thats the reality of it. SO drafting 1 defender at 17 would have been dumb. We took the best player available.

The GM is getting what he deserves? He is worth billions. Please let me continually screw up an have a similar soft landing.

need to be playing ANAE and wilson alot. Need to play Bernard. We have some good young talent. Its that they are raw and unproven at the pro level. One way to be proven is to get game reps. TIME IS NOW. PLAY THEM!

Trade down and add another pick. Two first day defensive picks would’ve been huge.

ONLY TEAM CALLING WAS PHILLY and we werent about to do that. You gotta have a trade parnter. Its not so easy.

That was a different Jerry back then. The HOF Jerry who hired a great coach and let him run the show.

Since Jimmy was fired we’ve been stuck with a completely different Jerry, one who tries to satisfy his ego at the expense of building another great team, unfortunately.

You could be right...but my point still stands. Jimmy would NOT have done it without Jerry. You can say "but THAT Jerry"...okay. Still doesn't change history and facts.

NFL championships are how NFL teams are measured. Unless you’re Jerry Jones who thinks winning Forbes championships mean anything. Making money is great for the Jones family. To Fans? Who cares about how much money the Jones are worth?
