Yes!
Or they're a gaggle of OG's.

ANY team who drafts him is getting a lazy slob, who routinely misses practice, half-a**es practice when he does come, same for games, heavy drinker and a VERY, VERY bad locker room influence. He was one of the key reasons (along with McKeon, Ruud and Keller) as to why Nebraska tanked last year.
Look at Pelini, it took one run-in from Nicks to bar that guy from even coming back to UNL to workout. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about him.
I'd be happier if we drafted Felix Jones and DeSean Jackson if it meant we stayed away from Nicks. That alone should tell you what I think of that guy.

Besides that, as others have mentioned, I think a lot of these young tackles were taken with the idea that they would get their shot one of these days.
The only other thing that I think is kind of interesting about this whole situation is that Kosier is also a free agent soon, right?
But as I recall, isn't Houck one of those guys who wants his 5 best lineman on the field, regardless of position? Some of those young guys may get a shot this year, and I think Dallas will have an even better idea of what their future holds. But another versatile prospect wouldn't hurt my feelings at all.

I still think that these young guys are going to be given a shot. Like I said, I think Houck will play his best 5.

I understand the business aspects of it, but you would think that Columbo would think about how much money he would be making if Jerruh hadn't given him a second chance.

It's about time our young OL started producing on the field. McQuistan, Free and Marten need to push for a starting job or at least show enough to let the organization feel comfortable in playing them when Colombo moves on.

Hopefully McQuiston or James Marten can play that Right tackle spot.
