Because why not, right. We are heading into that painfully slow time of the year where not much is going on. So lets kill some time and waste some bandwidth yapping about trades that unlikely to happen. Who knows some guys on mention somewhere in this thread may be on that mythical " short list" and wind up a running for 3,500 yards next year for the Cowboys

Ill kick it off with a few names

- Gio Bernard. No rumors of him being dangled that I know off, but he was a guy we seemed very interested in in 2013. Not a Murray type runner, but very much 3 down capable. He is my favorite of the players im listing, but would probably take a day 2 pick if a call is made

- Lamar Miller. The most productive runner on the list. 1K and 5.1 behind a horrible line = not too shabby. Downside is only 1 year remaining and would likely cost the equivalent of a high mid round pick.

- Doug Martin. He is a flier type who could be very cost effective but its a gamble whether you are getting an effective back or not. Also 1 year remaining

- Knile Davis. Great size/speed combo and could go gangbusters behind our line. Also returns kicks. Would likely take a mid rounder.

-Cyrus Gray. I know little about him but he is a guy who we were interested in when he came out and was considered a mid round talent. Could be a sleeper. Hasnt had much opportunities behind Charles and Davis. Could probably be had for a PS worthy scrub like Gardener

Knile davis is interesting...

He was a beast when given the opportunity and on his rookie contract this year and 2016. Cheap rb for 2 years.

I would really look into that. I love the way he runs.

220+ with 4.3 speed. I know its not everything but it sure does help

He was awesome when he got the full load when charles went down. Just downhill and can really play physical. Not to mention hes fast.

2 years left on his rookie deal too. Super cheap

We could go with a veteran: http://i636.***BLOCKED***/albums/uu87/jdjohnston1960/funny-painting-old-guy-football-helmet-scotch-tightend-yarmosky.jpg

Or somebody off another team's practice squad: http://i636.***BLOCKED***/albums/uu87/jdjohnston1960/TurtleNiner.jpg

Or somebody off the street: http://i636.***BLOCKED***/albums/uu87/jdjohnston1960/welcome-to-hell.jpg

but personally I like this guy. He's something of a question mark, http://i636.***BLOCKED***/albums/uu87/jdjohnston1960/tlp3.jpg

but he can also play special teams. http://i636.***BLOCKED***/albums/uu87/jdjohnston1960/130-219.jpg

I'm sure they'd all do fine behind our line. :D

I love Knile Davis. I wanted him in third SO bad. I know we had a 2nd round grade on TWill, so I really wish we would have just drafted him over Escobar. Then we could have drafted Knile in the 3rd. How could you not want a 227lb running back with 4.3 speed and 31 bench reps? weight speed strength... all of that behind our line? If you can get him for a 3rd I would jump all over that. I'd even give up our second if we got a late pick back... even if we didn't, I might part with the 2nd. Isn't he a really good return man too?
