That would be amazing. I still think our defense has issues. Maybe Ryan can compensate for those and Spencer and Jenkins come back with a great years. Unless the Packers have some injuries wow they are going to be tough again. I also think Atlanta is in position to make a run.

I would argue we are just as talented as the Packers.

I've thought the main thing holding us back for so long has been coaching. I remember when we hired Wade thinking that his teams historically fold in the playoffs.

I think Romo and Rodgers are close.
I think our trio of WRs is as good...if not a shade better
Our RBs are better
Our TEs are better
They have a better OL

Defensively....it depends on who we have coming back
With Spears, Ratliff, and Olshansky.....I think they're still a shade better.
We are just as good as them at LB
Right now, their secondary is much better than ours. We have a lot of work to do there.

OL and secondary are the key differences, Packers are better.

I guess you could argue our RB's are better as well, but gosh we didn't get much out of them last year. Rodgers is on a different level than Romo, IMO, but Romo is good enough to win no problem. They are crazy good at WR.

Packers had the best secondary in the NFL last season, we had maybe the worst.

We've got a lot of talent. But the Pack has consistently found 2-3 starters or key role players in each of the last few drafts. Whiffing in 2009 hurt us more than we want to admit. Just think how much better off we'd be in FA if Brewster, Hamlin, or DeAngelo Smith had turned out for us. Not to mention if either of the LBs were consistent contributors (come on, Victor Butler).

Wow, so true. The Packers have a lot of home grown talent.

Atlanta is getting better, no doubt...and I also think our group is starting to take shape as well with the players and now the coaching staff. I definitely think we are ready to make a serious run.

My dark horse this year in the NFC is...believe it or not... the Lions. They have been so bad for so long that they've quietly amassed a plethora of top-tier talent in the draft, and I think all the chips are finally in place. On defense their D-line is ridiculous with Suh and now Fairley. They also have Megatron, Stafford, and rookie Jahvid Best on offense who was off to a great start before the foot injury that plagued him last season. If they can stay healthy then I think they have a real chance of making some noise this year.

Packers certainly have fewer holes - but their O line still needs work.

We realistically have FS, SS, RG, LG, DE as areas that we need to take care of. DE can be done by resigning who we already have. LG as well. But RG, SS, FS are the three positions that need a serious upgrade NOW.

He said the Mavs had no chance against the Heat before they played the series. I don't know what he said once the series was in progress. I can't stand listening to the guy. He is Skip Bayless as far as I am concerned. He LOVES USC, Pete Carroll, and has argued (at times insanely) to their favor on almost any issue. Just another Skippy.

I dont particularly care for him, just posted it if some fans want to listen to the podcast, since he talked about the cowboys chances.

Cowherd's an idiot. For the last 3 years he's said Romo wasn't a top QB and that no team should trust a QB that wears his hat backwards and that there were 15 QB's he'd take over Romo.

And today he says Romo has a Top 4 arm and is just like Aaron Rodgers but has done it for 4 years instead of Rodgers 3 and is only missing the playoff run.

He's totally setting himself up for when the Cowboys win he can say he said so. He has been totally anti-Romo until today.

IDIOT

Great. Summertime hype indicating that the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl.

Heard the same thing last summer.

Anyone who cares about this should get their head examined.

I know the Packers don't run it much, however, I'm not <entirely> sure Felix/Choice/our 3rd round pick are better than Ryan Grant/James Starks/John Kuhn.

Felix is certainly the best of them all, however, 1 to 3 they seem pretty equal.

Good point. The Lions could have a potent offense based on skill players. Not sure about their o line so can't say one way or the other. If Stafford can't stay healthy it may not matter.
We have to get Spencer and Jenkins playing at a high level and maybe Ryan can do just that.

Herd has been defending and talking up Romo for a year or two now. He's really gone on the offensive when it has come to people calling in and blaming Tony for everything or for saying he's not a really good QB. So I'm not surprised by Colin on this.
