It was fourth and 6--the so-called hold happens away from the play and about 1 1/2 yards in front of the 1st down marker.

That is within 5 yards! That is legal contact! Total BS--called by the ref out of position to call that--Why wasn't he watching Watson where the ball went?

Yea, that was tick tack.

Man, the NFL loves the Pats.

But they got all the calls before that one..so we deserved it! - Tom Brady 2007

The TD following it is what got me. Gaffney never controlled that ball!

The ball was freaking moving in his hand and refs gave it to him.

Man, that game looked fixed fellas.

Yeah, that was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

Me thinks you guys' disdain for the Pats is coloring your judgment.

Watson was being mugged on that pass play. And he had cleared the five yards. Besides, the ball was thrown in his direction, which probably prompted the flag. That was a good call.

And Gaffney caught that ball. He didn't bobble it. He merely switched hands after he went out of bounds.

I wanted the Pats to lose too. But it's not because of the refs. It's because of the stupidity and the lack of discipline of the Ravens from their coach and assistant coach down to their players.

And when you're playing a team as good as the Pats, you have to be disciplined in all phases of your game.

It was moving before he was out of bounds Tyke.

However, it was clearly a hold although I have seen worse by the Patriots not called.

At first, I was really pissed off at the holding call.

After viewing the replays, it was a good call.

Yeah, the holding call was a good call, but 9 times out of 10 it wouldn't get called when it's that close to the LOS and away from the play.

Witten has been freaking tackled in the end zone before with no call and on 4th down a bail-out flag comes out???

Sorry, me thinks game was fixed.

I will never forget the Seattle game in 2005 when the refs threw a holding call on 3rd down, would have given us a first down at the 1, then the refs get together and say oh sorry, it wasn't holding. I was like ***?

The Ravens blew it when they called that time out on 4th down that would have stopped them.....

That was the hugest mistake by coaches of the weekend. Bigger than Gibbs and Payton. That timeout rule has got to be changed.

Speaking of no flags, how about the non call when Boller gets clubbed in the head while avoiding a sack right in front of the ref and their is no flag. While the play was going, even the announcer said he gets hit in the head. Unreal. :bang2: :bang2:

I will never forget the Seattle game in 2006 when the refs upstairs thought it should review a referees spot of a Jason Witten catch that would have given us a 1st down and basically have won the game. I'm just beginning to forgive them for that game.

Listen DUDE know the rules will ya you must posse the ball all the way through the catch and then to the ground.Plain and simple No where and i mean NO where does it say switching the ball to the other hand is ok. OK know that we know the rule it was clear that the ball was moving and clearly should of been incomplete because the player was juggling the ball. Now these are the rules made by the NFL.

Juggling and switching hands are two entirely different things. You want to know the difference? One of them, you have to have possesion to do. switching hands is considered a football move.

Gaffney did not go to the ground, so that does not play a part. Control or at least the definition of control is the issue. I don't think it is defined as the ball can not move at all. If it were then it is not a catch by Gaffney. I think Gaffney had control of the ball the whole time while it was moving. His finger tips were gripping the ball the whole time. But I will admit I don't know the specific wording of the rule. Gotta link?

It was holding on Watson. It was obvious. The Pats had the ball at the 13 yard line and the guy held him pretty much the whole time until the end zone. The unfortunate part is that he did not need to hold him. He was in good underneath position and had over the top help. Just a bad play by the defender.

Why are some people questioning the flag for false start on the Pats? That was an easy call. The guard jumped.
